February 19, 2012 11:56 am I'm really loving this series too. In fact as much as I also loved Batman this week, uncanny X was actually my favorite pick of the week. I like the way Gillen is playing with concepts of evolution and essentially giving us a taste of what it feels like to be a squirrel next to a human. The only thing i didn't like was the ability to pick up a language so fluently that the apex can use words he's never heard spoken... Without some sort of telepathy i'm not sure how you'd guess to use the word 'apex' since he doesn't know any of the root languages of english. wish that'd been explained a bit better since the language comprehension is pretty heavily laced into the apex's comments about superiority.

October 20, 2011 7:27 pm Really I think it's a pretty cool idea, will allow for different stories than any most other hero's could do. Plus it sounds like there is more to the circus than it just being a circus

7.99 cover price for 80 pages though, that kinda hurts. If this was monthly i probably wouldn't buy it, but every now and then i can take the hit. I would probably buy it as a monthly at 6.99... although i realize that it's more than double the size of a regular DC issue so i should expect it to price accordingly i think bulk should = discount
