  1. Thats a great cover

  2. Ted Kord back from the dead? Isn’t anything sacred? (Just kidding)

  3. I picked up the first two issues based on what I heard around here. Hot damn, is this a good book or what? I’m loving the feel and scope of the story so far. It also makes me feel like there’s less of a gap between issues of Brightest Day. I’m pulling this for the forseeable future.

This is also one of the books that made me realize I needed to drop Robinson’s JLA. This fills my JLA desires quite nicely.

  4. I’m considering jumping on this series after all and might pick up the first three issues this week.  The more I’ve heard it discussed online the more interesting the concept sounds.  If Brightest Day doesn’t hook me soon this could turn out to be a suitable replacement as I assume this has more focus.

  5. I’m actually not liking this book at all, Rusty. I mean, all of last issue was spent on that "All the other heroes dismiss the JLI members’ problems" bullcrap that Ted went through in Infinite Crisis. Granted, there’s a more legit reason for it this time, but it’s still a crap plot device because it requires all the other heroes to be jerks. Some of the other characterization is off as well–Tora was pretty mean to Booster and Guy last issue, for instance. I agree that the premise is good and the pacing is way better than Brightest Day’s, but the comic itself is a glum drag.

All that said, that IS a really great cover.

  6. @stas It definitely has more focus.

  7. This has been a series I’ve been looking forward to alot every other week. Hope it keeps up with this good pace and story.

  8. Really looking forward to this one, picked up the last 2 issues at the same time and i really like the dynamic between these characters, and poor booster makes the book.

  9. The only DCU book that I am looking at these days.

  10. As much as I like the current Blue Beetle I’d love for Ted Kord to come back.

  11. This book was pretty good.  I rushed through some parts, but overall very good.  I don’t understand the cover AT ALL!!  very bad.

  12. I love finding this book in my stack every other week.  It’s so freaking good. POTW for the second issue in a row.

  13. Another solid read.

  14. This issue was great. A lot of fun and not worried about a lot else but our core heroes. It’s also nice as it feels like a lengthy read, but doesn’t drag, if that makes sense. 4/5 for me. And in contention for my POTW.

  15. i had no interest in this book at all, but so far it has been pretty fun.

  16. My worst fear is this will end with Booster Gold killing Max.

  17. @Minion: Don’t even say that. You’ll jinx it.

  18. This has been great thus far. Glad to be on board.
