  1. I almost don’t want Batman to join the team. I already know enough about him I want to learn more about the other characters.

    Also, Bruce or Dick?

  2. @Minion: Dick.

  3. My shop didn’t get any of the copies of #9 that they ordered the other week so I’m supposedly getting #9 and #10 this week.  This is one of my favorite books right now so I can’t wait to finally get my fix, it seems like it’s been 3 months…

  4. super excited for every installment of this series. A really good time. Isn’t this the variant cover?

  5. Whichever cover this is… its beautiful.

  6. Love that cover. Very Lark/ Mezzuchili Batman.

  7. I’ve been following this series digitally. It’s too good to miss. Love it.

  8. That cover shall be mine!  Oh, yes, it will be mine.

  9. I’ve also been buying this on the DC App.  For some reason, it takes a little longer to finish via the app which I like.  I can really appreciate the detail of the art when I’m looking at each frame as opposed to just reading through.  Only problem is that I wait a month after it comes out because I really like that $1.99 price point.

  10. I’m a bit conflicted with the inclusion of Magog.  I’m not very familiar with the character but everytime I see him a don’t like him.  I don’t like his name.  I don’t like his costume.  I don’t get the character.  So I’m at first thinking I might be done with the book.  But then the issue was otherwise good.  And then the last page had characters I do really like.  Balances out I guess.

  11. @Stasisbal  Magog was an allegory for Cable back in 96 when he made his first appearance in Kingdom Come.  You aren’t supposed to like him you never were. He represented everything that was "wrong" with comics at the time.

  12. Continues to be a completely solid book. And the only place I know Magog from is Kingdom Come so I’m not sick to death of him.

    Metal Men rule.

  13. @stasisbai: You’re not supposed to like him.

  14. @Damon & Conor – Thanks. I guess they’re doing a good job with him then!  But I do have to question the wisdom in the use or existence of a character who is supposed to be (and is) stupid :).  Oh well.

  15. please just make this ongoing and call it JLI. Please DC

  16. More please! I love this book. 5/5 Make this the real JL book! Please, pretty please!

  17. Loving this series. And so bummed I couldn’t make it to the shop today.

  18. I’m glad to know I’m not supposed to like Magog, but he’s sure been forced on us by DC over the past several months.  I credit him with breaking up the Justice Society into two mediocre books, for having at least one of my favorite books canceled in support of his own title, and for being a truly suck-ass character.  Mission accomplished!

  19. Hate Magog. Love Parasite.

  20. Was getting into Magog a lil, especially because of his Kingdom Come history, makes you wonder if his presence really means the DCU is headed toward that future; but also because he seems like the type of character, which he was in Kingdom Come, who is willing to take it to the next level when it comes to enforcing justice, the step someone like Batman has sworn never to take.

It is a step Wonder Woman has had to take in the past, but only out of absolute necessity, or as an exception rather than the rule, and she is someone who we don’t really see as that type of character, even though she is an Amazon, but we can’t really say the same thing about Magog.

  21. was this a short run or something? No shops in my area have this and they usually have a huge stack of back issues for this title. Its incredibly frustrating since i’m eagerly reading this series. oh well….back to the hunting!
