  1. Who is throwing that disc?  Is it a CD, DVD, Blu ray, or Laserdisc?????  Does it contain a copy of AOL (better than EVER!!)?

The cliffhanger at the end of the last issue was pretty interesting.  However, the fact that the first issue of Mr. Robinson’s JLA is also coming out this week is likely to spoil the ending of this series.

  2. I literally used to throw all those damn AOL discs around like frisbees. I would toss them to the dog. Try and smash them against the wall (harder than you might think).  Good times.

As always, I will tempted to skip the story and go right to the supplemental material which always entertains. More seriously I find Robinson writes some characters brilliantly and completely fails on others. Hopefully without too much trial and error he can put together a team mostly of the former. If this series is any indication, I doubt JLA will click right out the box.

  3. Just as a warning, apparently the JLA issue this week does spoil this comic. Like I mean it fully does say what happens at the end of this book. I saw the preview and I felt ‘Oh boy this is gonna piss the readers off of this mini’.

So just a warning, to anyone wanting to buy this and the JLA proper….wait to read the proper until this mini ends.

  4. @TNC – Thank you for the info.

  5. Despite the delays, I’m still enjoying this.

  6. no dice on waiting, they’ll just have to find some other way to wow me, like the actual craft of telling a comic story.

  7. @TNC thanks as well for that info… and dammit its like captain america reborn all over… grrrr

  8. I’m gonna stick this out, because overall I’ve enjoyed it, but not enough to keep trying with the main JLA book. If the mini ends on a high, maybe then, but at the moment I’ve had my fix of JLA for the time being.

  9. I’d suggest if you don’t want spoilers, avoid the newest issue of JLA.

  10. Really cool issue.  Probably the best one of the series.  Art was a bit off compared to previous issues.  Very enjoyable, however.

  11. I’ve also liked this series.  It’s funny, beautiful, and exciting to see how things build up.  With as many pulls, I can see other people are liking this too.

  12. @Crippler- Art was by a completely different person compared to previous issues.

the Prometheus fight was cool, but it seemed like a more drawn out version of the Deathstroke fight in Identity Crisis.

  13. If this is how Robinson is going to write Donna Troy, I’m on board!  She should be a kick-ass warrior.  She gets written too whiney by most writers.
