  1. with the DCU being rebooted they should just go all out on these titles, wouldn’t it be awesome if Death from Sandman showed up???

  2. Death from Sandman should remain in the Vertigo universe & a cameo in Action Comics.

  3. Like Death would stand a chance against Jonah Hex!

  4. Sad to see this series go. Might very well be my #1 montly

  5. @TomO  – Death is a dame, so he would have more respect for her.

  6. 70 issues . . . that’s a lot of issues. I need some nice hardcover collections now.

  7. Ryan Sook!

  8. Ryan Sook!

  9. @ScorpionMasada  I would like 2 volume HCs of Jonah Hex.

  10. Ryan Sook!

  11. Considering Death is the theme this issue I have a suspicion that Palmiotti/Gray are going to ‘kill’ this version of Hex for the new universe.

  12. Everyone who is excited about Ryan Sook should temper their enthusiasm.  According to Palmiotti, Sook couldn’t keep up, so for the first time ever on this series they had to bring in a fill-in artist.  Palmiotti even had to do the inking on several pages, supposedly.  It’s a shame that this series may go out on a wimper.

  13. @ctrosejr  Yeah, I ran into him at a local Starbucks and he said that Sook only drew a little more than half the book. Story looks exciting though!

  14. Bummer. Still…

    Ryan Sook!!

  15. @Fvckstick

    My sentiments exactly.

  16. The art change was irritating, but the story was phenomenal.

  17. Great story, and I enjoyed the art. One of my favorite Hex issues since I started around 50

  18. @Myncy  Grab the trades, if you haven’t already.  You won’t be disappointed.

  19. Well that was definitely a weird western tale, gonna have to think about this one for awhile lol

  20. @TheNextChampion I doubt it, post Flashpoint reboot takes place after Hex is already dead in the timeline. Zoom only went back far enough to mess with Barry. The reason for Hex changing to All-Star Western #1 is to relaunch with the reboot to get more readers. Hex was not one of the top selling books, despite the critical acclaim. I think it will be the same old Hex in the new book but it will also focus on the other DC western characters.

  21. Thanks for all the awesomeness and look forward to All-Star Western!

  22. This was by far the saddest issue of Jonah Hex ever. I really felt sorry for him and hi inability to ever not be…well himself.
