  1. I’m not sure about the interiors, but Allred is really doing his career’s best work with these covers.

  2. come on, be honest. this is bad isn’t it?

  3. I still need to read #6 from last week’s DCBS shipment but yea, this series has failed to grab me.  Switching over completely to LCS this month and I decided not to pick this issue up at the store after flipping through it.  There’s some interesting ideas here but it’s all kind of tedious and I don’t care about the characters yet.

The covers are great but the interiors look rushed and don’t do the story any favors.  The designs for the monster hunters are weak.  I know they’re supposed to be dressed in white but they look like doctors running around.  I’m taken out of the story every scene they are in.

  4. Not saying that this is the greatest comic on earth, but I have enjoyed it so far. This is the first thing I have read drawn by Allred and I think his art one of the title’s strong-points.

  5. I’ve only read the first three issues. i thought it was very weak. Quirky without substance.

BUT you’re right. all the covers have been fantastic

  6. To each their own. This is in my top 5 right now.

  7. A very fun read!

  8. Just realized that the way Allred draws Gwen is very much like his X-Statix character Dead Girl for Marvel.
