  1. “To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)
And a time to every purpose, under Heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to SMAAAAAAAAAAASH!!!!!!!”

  2. I’ve never read a Hulk comic in my life but with Waid on board, this has me intrigued to finally dip my toe in the Hulk-pool.

How this book been so far?

    • It’s been pretty entertaining – but not as entertaining as Waid’s other book, Daredevil. I can see Waid trying to instill the same charm and lightheartedness has he did with Daredevil but it just doesn’t work as well in the “Hulk World”. I do like his Bruce Banner more then any other writers version of him – immediately likable and sure-footed – can stand toe to toe with Tony Stark and even out wit him at times.

I say check out the first few issues and see if it grabs you.

    • Ah, fuck it, I’m pulling it!

Since this appears to be the beginning of a new arc, I’ll just dive in with this ish and not sweat over with tracking down back issues. Hopefully, I won’t be entirely lost.

      Thanks for the insight, brotha.

    • It’s a part one so I doubt you’ll be totally lost burnsy7. Maybe on some of the supporting cast, but so long as you know which one turns big, green and mean you should be fine!

    • I’d definitely recommend the arc with Simonson on art. I believe issues 6-8.

    • Quick recap… just read the recap on the first page. The series so far has just been a bunch of tiny arcs which is a huge rarity these days. Hulk comes in, takes care of business inside of 2-3 issues and moves on. That the series has been just these tiny arcs is the prime reason I enjoy it so much.

I love the decompressed epic as much as the next guy but now and then I just want some set-up, SMASH, and then clean-up. Hulk delivers.

  3. We get time travel AND more Scalera? This series just keeps getting better and better!

LOVED Scalera on this issue. Daaaaaaaamn it looks good. All the costume changes were a great touch too. Inventive way to keep a series of talking head panels interesting.

  5. God damn this was a gorgeous looking issue from start to finish. Scalera did some amazing stuff in this and I thank whoever felt the need to keep him on this. The moment Hulk is on the plane waiting to pounce I knew this would be special. Also, a great time travel concept by Waid that isn’t the normal when it comes to this story. He had some great ideas by constantly changing the time setting in each panel and Scalera executed perfectly. Overall, great issue and I’m looking forward to more ‘Cowboys v. Dinosaurs v. Hulk’ next time.

    5/5

  6. Not only was this a good issue but it looks to be an interesting arc. Between this, Guardians of the Galaxy, Daredevil, and The Wake, it’s turning out to be a great week!
