  1. If this sucks I’m prob gonna drop the Hulk books.

  2. dont do that! Incredible is good.

  3. Im wondering if this is a decent book anybody have an opinion?

  4. @newreader101-Opinions will differ wildly, and I cannot emphasize that enough, on this book.  The book is kinda like a Bruckheimer movie.  So if you like things like Armegeddon, Transformers, and Con Air, you might like this book.  If you like brooding, introspective media, then this probably isn’t for you.

  5. I dropped Loeb’s Hulk since 600 in favor of Pak’s Incredible series.  I’m enjoying Incredible book, but I’m not blown away yet.  I’m debating if I should follow both titles in anticipation of the World War Hulks event.

  6. Oh god is he dragging his wife into this series?

  7. I enjoy HULK. It has enough action, suspense, mystery, and outright smashing to leave me feeling good about the reading experience, thus making the book well worth the price tag.

Whereas Pak’s INCREDIBLE, which shares the same price tag due to a throw-away backup starring a new and only vaguely interesting She-Hulk, has been lacking in action, fun, or any reasons to make me care about the characters and situations.

That’s just my take on it.

  8. Puny Loeb man SMASH my interest in this book!

  10. Thanks J4K3.  Nice to hear something positive about it.  I might give Hulk a shot again.  Has the story (Loeb’s) improved much since issue #600?

  11. Guess I’ll stick with this for a while, even though I’m sick of wondering who Red Hulk is and I think this whole Red She-Hulk thing is prob gonna be stupid, I’m intrigued enough to stick with it….and this issue wasn’t too bad.

  12. @TNC- Audrey is his daughter who does the little hulk stories in the back of the book!

  13. I enjoy HULK. It has enough action, suspense, mystery, and outright smashing to leave me feeling good about the reading experience, thus making the book well worth the price tag.

  14. This book was very good for atleast my standards.

  15. HULK IS THE WORST COMIC EVER!! HOW CAN PEOPLE ENJOY IT!?

  16. I feel cheated every time I read one of these. Sure, it is slick art and lots of smashing, but with page after page

of double sized panels and spreads, it feels like a book both the writer and artist knocked out in a week. I like sequential art, not a book of splash page collections. This issue actually had a bit more meat to it, just because of the multiple, out-of-character fights going on. And at least Loeb spent some time writing the long, rambling narration over most of it. Still, when I am spending $3.99 and the team is delivering less than a typical comic, it grates. Hulk is one of my lifelong obsessions (thanks a lot Peter David), but with the Incredible split I may finally be able to cut the chord and just buy the main one.
