  1. Aaah!  I’m still buying this?!  What am I doing?  Definitely a make-or-break issue for me.  This started off as kind of a fun throwback to 90s Image comics, but despite having read the first four issues, I now realize I can recall very little of the plot.  If this first arc doesn’t resolve in a meaningful and memorable way, I probably won’t come back.

  2. You don’t remember the plot because there isn’t much of one.  I’m buying it only because it’s pre-ordered.  I won’t be buying #6 regardless.  I love Kirkman, but this and IU are not good.

  3. Can’t wait til capullo takes over full art chores

  4. Yeah this might be my last issue of this, unless this is really good and really makes me want to pick up the next issue.

  5. 5 issues already and it seems not much has actually happened.

  6. I’m loving this series. The art is great, and the story is just big dumb fun. Which is a nice change, my favourite books at the moment as Sweet Tooth and Detective comcis but something like this is the pop corm movie to keep me busy until the next big blockbuster is out.

  7. Ugh I’m torn…I liked this issue quite a bit….I guess I’ll just see how heavy my wallet feels when #6 comes out.

  8. This issue was extremely clunky for the creators involved and I found myself very bored by it…I’ll see how next issue makes me feel

  9. My POTW, I enjoyed this more than my other books (Spidey, Batman and Robin, Sword – All have been my POTW in the past), but this seemed like a nice conclusion to the first arc, and set up for the new series.

My only small problem (why I gave it 4 stars in stead of 5) is it seems like the brother has slept with very girl he’s met, he was married to the love of Daniel’s life, sleeping with a girl at work, and sleeping with a girl who defected…busy guy.

Looking forward to Mirage’s story next month, I imagaine it will help flush out a lot about her and Kurt and make any lose ends in this issue look less loose.

    A fun action book.

  10. @Zeppo Um…and that did cost the book a star? Stuff like this happens, you know.

  11. man….. I’m a Kirkman fan forever… but this is just boring me to tears.
