  1. I hope this is good!

  2. As far as I know though, this is the first of a two-parter by Sterlin Gates and Nelson that deals with the Alpa Lanterns. It’s irritating that they changed the content of the issue so suddenly but the story does look pretty interesting so hopefully it will be worth it.

  3. STOKED! i think this book has been stronger than the GL book proper. I’ve dropped this book too many times to count but if they keep this up, im in it for the long haul

  4. This is my favorite new surprise book.

    Thank you, Peter Tomasi.

  5. I am amped for the Mongul angle in this book.  That said, Guy and Kyle make this book fun.

  6. I won’t lie. I have no idea who Mongul is, but that promo art with him wielding three, colored rings was pretty awesome. I’ve really like this book, and the Alpha Lanterns are an interesting concept. I’m pumped for this and wherever it goes.

  7. Love this cover!

  8. Kyle and Gardner together make a great pairing. Both Characters have evolved and I am looking forward to what is going to happen to them.

  9. @ Squirrel- You know, I only know of him from the cartoons, but my understanding of his character is that he is a crazy ass bent on world domination and he hates losing, so he plays dirty.  You’re right…that promo art of him with the rings looks so awesome.

  10. So i came back from the comic store and this issue was bumped for another Alpha Lantern Story.

  11. Boo!  Boo, I say!

  12. Bait and switch.

  13. While it was not what was advertised. It was still a pretty good story.

  14. I’d like to disagree, and say that instead of calling the bait-and-switched GLC a pretty good story, we call it a fat steaming turd.

  15. I have a feeling its because of the Green Lantern series.  My guess is that the Mongul story ties into GL (or maybe Final Crisis) and they are holding off until GL is done with the Alpha Lantern story.  Or its like Sinestro Corps War where they decided to flush things out more now that its popular.  Either way it was a lame issue.

  16. This cover was not what shipped. I got an issue which revolves around the Alpha Lanterns. And where is the MOngul? Where is Guy? Where is Kyle? And when does Kyle go into the multiverse? I think that issue really needs to be shown by now, until then it is just stagnating in a quagmire of continuity flaws (not that I am a continuity Alpa Lantern).
