  1. I don’t think that cover looks like Wakanda, lets hope this issue will be better than last weeks Fantastic Four!?

  2. I think I read a solicit somewhere else that had them going to the Negative Zone. Fantastic Four’s solicit got changed last week so who knows.

  3. when are they gonna visit the Jean Grey School??

  4. I believe this issue is a field trip to the Negative Zone.

  5. Still digging this.

Hickman gets the benefit of the doubt for the dozens of great issues he’s done.

    • Indeed … the ending seemed like an easy out and return back to the pre-Storm death status quo. After all the incredible storytelling Hickman has delivered, it seemed a bit trite.

  6. I fear another hastily thrown together one and done.

As opposed to a finely crafted one and done.

  7. Correct solicit:

The Future Foundation kids take their first Field Trip — to the Negative Zone. See what happens when Annihilus goes home. Plus, the return of Future Franklin and Val.

  8. Whatever book Hickman gets next I hope he goes to this format instead of a big story line. I want to see short adventures by the Avengers instead of 7 years of building up.

  9. Fucking Dragotta… whatever, I’m teaching myself to look past the sub-par artwork and just appreciate the story telling.

    • Disagree.

    • It’s adequate for what is is but it’s not my style at all. It looks like a cross between Norman Rockwell and Blonide comics. Just highlights the corniness of the Fantastic Four, my least favorite aspect of the series.

    • I think he is awesome! A Kirby-esque, but totally original.

@WillupsBrighton – this book is more “all-ages” so it should be whimsical. I love it and I love Dragotta’s art.

  10. Loved this issue. PotW.

  11. And so continues the trend of shit FF covers….

  12. Parliamentary democracy and representative republicanism are not mutually exclusive. There are plenty of countries that practice both. Those comments and the earlier ones about socialism on Nu World make me fear Hickman is a Paultard.

  13. Thought this issue was great, the Moloids are becoming my favourite Future Foundation members!

    This was my POTW!

  14. Loved Dragotta’s art on this. The first page where they entered the Negative Zone was awesome. Just stared at it for a few minutes while I strung up my bass.

I like Dragotta so I don’t know what other people are complaining about here. I have such a sour taste leftover from last week’s story in Fantastic Four that it dampened my enthusiasm a bit for this. But, I’m so glad that Hickman’s back on track with issue.
