No! Bad Marvel! Shame on you!
Seconded.
Thirded.
Fourthed.
You guys are funny.
Yeah you’re not going to be finding much fans of Fear Itself in this thread…..
But Sixth Gun is a wonderful book!
If Marvel had a farm they would buy a cow and a horse and think that’s all they need.
They would milk the cow dry and beat the horse once its dead.
that’s an olde time metaphor
…and yet, it still applies.
you’ve been reading John Steinbeck haven’t you?
DC would try and tell you the dead horse and milked cow are brand new, forget they ever exisisted on the farm before….. and you would buy it.
@edward- Your contrarian snarkisms wear thin. This is iFanboy, not the Boston Review. Of course, my response to you is like red meat to a lion…or, if thats not witty enough, perhaps Steinbeck said it best, “…Give a critic an inch, he’ll write a play.”
kmanifesto: there was no snark there, i agree with you about the book and i enjoyed your comments
ToucheĀ“
Not doing it. Can’t make me.
!2 issues, twice monthly, for six months. Holy shit Fear Itself and it’s aftermath are constituting an entire year of this storyline.
I’ve enjoyed Fear Itself.
Hopefully I’ll enjoy this too.
And at $2.99 I’m certainly going to give it a go.
Ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffear.
I’m trying the first issue and if it grabs me sweet, but if it doesn’t I’m pretty comfortable with not picking it up again.
you’re the problem
I agree with you Natebot, I want to give this a chance, but if it doesn’t grab me quick I’m dropping it
whoa, wait a minute. DC can follow up Blackest Night with two bi-weekly 26 part minis, but Marvel can’t follow up Fear Itself with a bi-weekly 12-parter and a monthly 6-parter?
Blackest Night, while not a perfect series, had a lot more going for it than Fear Itself.
Cullen Bunn Saves the day! This series looks to be pretty decent.
#FIREJOEQUESADA
Didn’t… didn’t Joe step down a few months ago? Is that hashtag timely?
So, ignoring any Fear Itself hate, how was this issue, I’m kind of curious if I should maybe check it out
I personally was not happy with Fear Itself, but enjoyed this. I was planning on dropping if I did not like the first issue, but the story was good and I really liked the art of both artists, so I think I am going to stick with it. I think that no matter what your feelings about Fear Itself are that this is worth checking out. The focus on Valkyrie and Sin made a nice contrast on the after effects of the event for both sides.
Yea, I thought this was rad. Great art. Compelling story. I’m in.
Caution: I enjoyed Fear Itself immensely too. I’m one of them types.
While a bit of step down in the art department, this story in this one issue has already vastly improved on Mediocre Itself.
WTH is in Sin’s lap ??????
