  1. Really enjoyed Paul Malmont’s debut novel, so I know he’s got an affinity for the pulp characters, even though he’s untested as a comics writer. I just love that they’re pushing to bring this back. Fingers crossed.

  2. have you ever been to a nightclub and there a douchebag there with fake tan and dried hair? Doc Savage really looks like that

  3. I’m really looking forward to this. Malmont’s homage to Doc Savage & the pulp era, "The Chinatown Death Cloud Peril" was fantastic. Not to mention that madman Jason Starr writing about another madman, "The Avenger" should be perfect.

  4. I’m picking this up simply because the Doc Savage scenes were my favorite in First Wave #1. Which along with Superman were the only two DC books I was reading until this.  Im looking forward to it.

  5. Can’t freaking wait for this… The Man of Bronze has always been a fave of mine ever since I was a little kid looking at all the covers of the paperbacks he was in at the store where I bought my comics.

  6. This was one of the worst comics I’ve read in a long time.

  7. @mrmccoy81 I agree but Justice Inc. was great

  8. Why did the kid tell Renny to go away? That made no sense

  9. Dropping this book like a hot potato. Too bad. Was really psyched for it.

  10. Wow this was not my cup of tea….relaunch the shadow please

  11. I picked this up not really knowing much about Doc Savage.  After reading this, I still don’t know much.  This is one of the most shallow, underwritten comics I’ve read. Ever.

  12. Add me to the list of those who were thoroughly underwhelmed.  I keep trying to remember the reason I picked this book up in the first place, but the book itself did nothing to remind me.

  13. It took me a while to work out it was meant to be contemporary, rather than a period piece.

It should have been a period piece.

  14. Dropped…Not what I wanted at all.  Boo.
