Great review of the series, Desaad!
That’s a great observation/review of the series thus far. I also thoroughly enjoy this comic.
Thanks guys! Very kind of you! Just trying to spread the word in whatever way I can!
I’m a huge fan of Mieville but I dropped off this book at #2, I think he will get the medium in time and I don’t doubt he can do some amazing things in comics… maybe he has already begun by issue #5, I think I’m going to pick up the trade and keep an eye on this and other projects he does but I’m just not sure Dial H was the right fit or start.
Love. This. Comic.
This is great! I get the same vibe from this as I did about Doom Patrol, but this is somewhat better and I just don’t know what it is!
Didn’t like the first issue. The art was dark and dingy and it was trying too hard to be poetic, not straight forward telling the story, just vague moody narration.
I picked up the 0 issue though because the Sun Dial concept sounded interesting. I loved it.
May try this for another issue.
The use of the Zero issue kinda hampered the story line for this. But I’m still looking forward on reading this.
I’m sorry but after reading this issue I’m dropping the title. I don’t mind reading complicated and mind bending stories but the way this comic is delivered just completely takes me out of the story.
The way the narration is delivered is too disjointed, the character dialogue is chaotic and it’s hard to process the tone of what people are saying and even the art is starting to become tiresome for me. The story itself seems like an interesting one but I just get too frustrated trying to process it all.
I’m sticking with it, but I agree. The dialogue is confusing and distracting. I’m glad the two characters that speak “funny” are dead now. Cause that shit was annoying.
YEA I JUST GET A HEADACHE TRYING TO READ IT. SEEMS LIKE A GREAT PREMISE BUT I THINK I’M DONE
