DEADPOOL TEAM-UP #897

“FREAK OUT” Deadpool gets his freak on when he’s hired to bump off Ed McGrady — a.k.a. “Lobster Boy” — the mayor of Freaksville, USA. But things get a little bit complicated when one of the Fallen decides to take over the town and, quite possibly, the rest of the world. Luckily for Deadpool, the Ghost Riders, Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch, just happen to be in town too. It’s the end of the world as we know it…unless the Merc with a Mouth can play nice with the Spirits of Vengeance and send this demon back to hell in a hand basket. Which is harder than it might seem…

  1. Pro: An interesting team up that could be good. Also, Staggs is a pretty good artist.

Con: Adam Glass is a writing partner of Mike Benson.

So sadly the con is outweighing the pro right now. Hope Glass is funnier or just plain better then Benson.

  2. Checked out the preview of this issue on Newsarama…looked kinda stupid, but will be picking up anyway. Maybe itll get better towards the end, but I doubt it

  3. TheNextChampion, you are always so negative about Mike Benson.  Sucide Kings was very good.  You are also judging Adam Glass who’s book you have yet to read.  A lot of people really liked Benson’s Moon Knight.  Stop being such a hater.

  4. I think I’m gonna stop reading this series.

This was a bad issue. REALLY bad. Not funny and some really bad, sketchy art. I would avoid this if I were you.

  5. Definitely not the worst Deadpool story I’ve ever read, but I wouldnt go as far as to say it was good. It was an ok way to pass time, not much else more.

  6. Ghost Riders + Deadpool should be good. This was not. Wasted potential.
