DEADPOOL #42

“Institutionalized,” Part 3

Surprising to no one but himself, Deadpool has found himself locked up in the psych unit of Crossmore Prison. Will therapy help Deadpool finally fix the loose wires in his head, or will the stress of incarceration drive him to a whole new level of craziness? Oh, and speaking of crazy…guess who else is locked up in Crossmore? Here’s a hint—his name rhymes with “pool killer”. Which, coincidentally, is a pretty accurate description of what he intends to do.

  1. Another great cover by Johnson.

This is more then likely my last issue on this series. It’s been a fun (well almost fun) ride but this series is getting a bit too stale for me. Unless this issue is, somehow, the greatest issue to date I’m pretty sure I’m gonna drop it right afterwards.

  2. Are we sure this is right? This would mean two Deadpool main titles in one month.

  3. Similar to TheNextChampion, I think I’m dropping it after this.

I still think it’s a fun title and makes me chuckle a fair amount of the time, but I seem to read it in double-quick time and then forget about it. Pretty sure that’s a sign to say bye bye.

  4. I’m sticking with this baby! Another patient mood swing for me guys.

This was a lot of fun to read with some nice comedic moments in this. Also the art was pretty good too. It at least made it survive my pullbin for one more issue at least.

    4/5

  5. i think i’m still gonna drop this.

    • I’m sticking with it for sure untill at least issue #45- which is the last issue that’s been confirmed for sure. I don’t hate Daniel Way, but unless he writes something really really awesome in the next arc, I’m sticking with my opinion that some fresh blood is what the series needs right now.

  6. The first part of this arc said to me “well after this arc I’m done.” Then the second issue really made me laugh “do you see those like a comic book?”. I was really excited. And then this came out…..and this was really really bad.

  7. I thought it was weird that though the cover suggests that Deadpool is crazy, he was as clos to normal as Deadpool can get. I did not care for this story but I liked the art.
