  1. Last issue? Pretty lame, definitely the worst of the series. Hopefully an increased focus on Hit-Monkey can get this series back on track

  2. Puke.  Only seen one issue of Hit-monkey and I already fucking hate him.

  3. Is hit monkey an actual character? WTF? Anyway – new deadpool every week is a dream come true for me.

  4. Correction: Last issue was pretty damn good. Not ‘the’ best issue of the 20ish run, but still damn good.

Can’t wait to finally see Hit-Monkey is full, glorious action.

  5. Is Deadpool coming out every week? if so im dropping it, im not spending more than £1.50 on it. Cant wait for Hit-monkey to be gone, ruined a really good issue last week..

  6. deadpool has done this before right? i feel like it skipped a month before then came out back to back? or am i just dreaming that?

  7. Of all the ridiculous things that could make someone dislike this book, it’s Hit-Monkey?  There’s been far crazier stuff than that in this book so far.

  8. @ Peterparker – I think you’re rigth, but I don’t remember when

@ anyone else – I really enjoyed last issue, thought it was a nice set-up. Hitmonkey as a one off character could be a lot of fun.

  9. I might wait to pick this one up next week with so much coming out tomorrow, but I did enjoy the last issue.  Not too high on Hit-Monkey though, but I’ll give him a spin before I write him off.

  10. @zeppo and Derekrva

did you read the one shot? it was kinda interesting, not sure if i liked it per se but interesting, there is actually an "origin to hit monkey

  11. @Peterparker

I didn’t read the one-shot, though I did hear it was strangely emotional. It came out in a week were I was getting a lot of books, so I left Hitmonkey on the shelves.

I wonder if Marvel are setting him up for something bigger, a one-shot and a three issue arc against two of Marvel’s big hitters sounds like they could be gearing Hit-monkey up for more work. He’s already got a small trades worth of appearences.

  12. Another great issue by Way and Barberi. My campaign for ‘1 Deadpool Series is Enough’ is going to continue. Loved the ‘Pool-O-Vision’ in this; actually caught me off guard for those few pages. I like it how Way only uses these things when it works. He doesn’t use it to death like other writers.

    Great stuff as usual.

  13. One deadpool book is never enough. I’m American – I want as many deadpool books as Marvel can manage to shove down my throat. It’s unamerican to wish for moderation.

  14. @grandlurk
lol I would agree if they were all written by way (who I’m kind of indifferent on accept with deadpool) he writes him so well

  15. I recant on my previous statement.  I actually enjoyed ‘hit-monkey’ a lot this issue and also the banter.  Very fun and enjoyable read.

  16. I also didnt mind hit-monkey in this issue actually, was better than i expected…loved the art, the story was well written….much better than this weeks Amazing Spider-man

@TheNextChampion i agree, there should definitely only be one Deadpool book

  17. @TheNextChamp

    @ Grantbrydon

I agree one is enough. I got this one and have dropped the others very quickly. His over exposure is making me sick of the sight of a character I once loved. This has been a fun arc though.

Why was he in the dress?

  18. Obviously DP was in disguise!

  19. loved the dress and i really like the art except for spidey

  20. Mindless witty banter and nonsensical, inane plot threads are Deadpool’s bread and butter. So far, I’m laughing my a$$ off all the way through the Hit Monkey arc … BRILLIANT!!!
