  1. Ohhhhhh yeah. New creative team. Should I even bother reading the last three issues?

  2. Well, old creative team, but a creative team that I liked quite a bit on this and Time Masters. Back in for Booster!

  3. My first Booster comic, can’t wait!

  4. Jurgens back means I’m back.

How long is he back for?

  5. Any thoughts on how important Booster will be to follow Flashpoint?

  6. @Chrisflinchbaugh – Not very. Mostly just fun times, I think.

  7. @Minion  Yes.  Jurgens may have created Booster, but Giffen and DeMatteis made him into the character we know today.

  8. @Minion: Nah.  Other than the Rip’s blackboard, which I am sure you can find on the internet, I would not say the last three issues were essential.  Although, on second thought, I wonder if the Perforated Man storyline is going to be important in the future.  Ok, I change my vote, you should definitely pick it up. 🙂

  9. @ScorpionMasada  As far as we know, he’s back for the long haul.  I think the switch in team was only because of Time Masters Vanishing Point.

  10. @ctrosejr I’m not discounting what they’ve done in the past but tthis last run has not been good since the first few issues.

  11. @Minion  I hear ya!  I was just looking back over the last twelve issues, and I got to say, there were quite a few clunkers in there.  That said, I know you’re a fan of Booster, so I would think you would want to see / experience the Perforated Man storyline.   And, I think Giffen and DeMatteis ended the series stronger than they began.  (Issue #32 was ROUGH.)

  12. Good to hear.

I’d like to see Johns and Jurgens do an arc before the series ends.

  13. That was good again. ANOTHER two page retelling of the origin, but I feel I missed nothing as long as you read the first issue of the previous run and know who Rani is it was completely inconsequential.

Now for Chalkboard speculation! Subject 1 = Superman?

  14. Really happy I decided to pick this up on a whim. Really enjoyed it.

  15. I’m much happier with Jurgens back on Booster!  I dont expect he’ll stay forever though, so Im really hoping we get to see the title experiment with one new creative team at some point, without falling back on either Giffen or Jurgens.

  16. Who would have ever thought we would have a second Booster Gold series that surpasses the first series from the 1980’s. Booster has become such an intregal part of the DC universe and yet the general public has no clue who he is. Booster for president in 2012!!!!!!!

  17. not really a booster Gold fan but i really liked this issue

  18. Im glad Boosters gonna be apart of flashpoint! (then again, how could he not? Being a time traveller and all). They did a great job on this issue, I didnt used not to get booster to much, but in the last year I pick him up every time. I even went to my fav comic store and found the first 6 issues Booster gold ever appeared in.

  19. Booster has grown into an awesome character.  Jurgens and Giffen have really given him a great mix of humor and heroics.
