Dan Jurgens writes and draws “Booster Gold” #44, this past week’s only Flashpoint tie-in. As a whole, the issue is solid but the story moves at a pretty tame pace.  We get a flashback (for those unfamiliar with Booster Gold) and several questions as Booster joins the ranks of those who see something terribly wrong with Flashpoint’s timeline. It also has a very nice end page but it does take it’s time getting to it.

The art is fantastic. I love the sharp, detailed panels and the vibrant colors. The classic art style works very well with this particular book.

This is a good issue. The story is steady and it’s connection to the greater Flashpoint story is obviously important. While the story itself didn’t really grab me, the relevance, end page, and great artwork truly put’s the book over. It’s worth picking up especially if you’re into DC’s Flashpoint event.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
