  1. Remender writing Starro?  Sold!

  2. Me too!  Love that cover.

  3. is this rememder’s first issue?

  4. @edward – yes.  The last two issues were written by Chuck Dixon.

  5. You would think after 50+ years of having Starro around, people would look closely on starfish in the DCU now a days.

Yeah I know it’s a new arc, but I dropped the series. I just couldnt get into it, I mean I really tried the Dixon arc and it just wasnt entertaining. Sure this is Rick Remender now, but I just dont see this get any better.

Oh and I guess Remender is doing this because he’s tired of doing his Fear Agent arc? I mean if Kirkman is right, he should be confortable with his own comic and not do DC/Marvel work. 🙂 (sarcasm)

  6. How many issues will Remender be writing?

  7. @Kory: This issue and the next I believe. After that I think Dan Jurgens is taking over the whole she-bang.

I can’t wait to get off work to read this, but I think the FC tie-ins will get digested first.

  8. So this wasn’t bad but I don’t like it as much.  I hope  Dan Jurgens is better then Remender.  It was less fun then normal.  Although the line "If you had an orfice I’d kiss it or rub it or something"… hahahahaha… wow/eww.

  9. Jurgens is writing this next? Ewww, drop! It’s bad enough they still let the guy draw, do they have to let him write as well? Sure he created the character, but there are better writers… there MUST be! What sold me on this book was the light-touch and continuity play that Johns bought to the book. After reading Jurgen’s atrocious last few efforts, I can’t see any of that making the transition. It’s a shame, BG was probably my favourite book this time last year.

  10. Jurgens should be fine! Go reread the original run, it was really rather good. I thought this issue was a mess. Love Starro, love the art, but the flow was jagged and just average to me.

  11. The Light touch this character has was because of Jurgens.  It wasn’t something Johns came up with … it was already there.

  12. god damn it, i forgot to pick this up! fiddle sticks!
