  1. A lot of my favortite marvel books are coming out this week.

  2. Love the character, but this storyline is a bit too complex — especially for those who aren’t especially fans of the character. Last issue was tough read — especially the parts where Natasha was conversing with the old lady.

I hope the next arc is more action-packed — with a less convoluted story.

  3. Duane Swierczynski is taking over the next arc, so I have high hopes.  Really loved his work on ‘Iron Fist,’ particularly.  Plus I think this is crossing over with Hawkeye & Mockingbird.

  4. @kcekada –  I agree about the last issue.  It kind of lost me.  Not too familiar with the character myself and while I like her OK, not sure I like her enough to read her solo book.

I initally picked this up for Acuna.  Majorie Lu’s been solid until the plot lost me.  I’ll give her a try on X-23.  Not sure if I’ll stick around for Duane S.

  5. I’m sad to see Marjorie Liu go as she’s done great work on this book so far. Duane Swierczynski should be good though.

  6. C’mon, awesome cliffhanger ending, I want to see how she’s doing inside the meat locker.  BW is always great in solo stories.

  7. yeah, loving this book. I don’t know the character that well either, but it seems to me like this is actually building a new history for the character. Correct me if im wrong. I have been really happy with marjory liu’s work here. top draw.

  8. The plot is a bit opaque at times for me, I’ll reread all the issues together one I get this.  I really like this book though.  I am VERY excited for the Hawkeye & mockingbird crossover.

  9. A nice ending but not a great ending. I feel like I’ve seen a lot of the plot points used here before, and there is a little too much nudity. (Did we really need the four redhead hookers?)

  10. I thought this was a nice wrap-up.  I’m interested to see what comes next.

  11. Not feeling this one.  Didn’t really care about the outcome this whole issue.  Certainly didn’t care about the villain.  The whole arc was kind of all over the place.  I’m not familiar with the character’s history and the genre isn’t my favorite though.

Wasn’t feeling the preview art for #6 so I’m out.

  12. Sad to see this arc come to an end. I enjoyed it a lot.

  13. Gave this 5 stars.  BW’s confidence was dynamite and the conversations great.  I think it is very interesting how BW is almost reveling in her Bucky relationship, even in her solo book.  I mean, she was definitely not the person alone.  That’s a significant change in a typical Black Widow story, if you use the George Perez or the Richard Morgan minis as guides.  Deftly handled.

@Minion – see, I think BW is like a female James Bond.  The sexy is very much a part of the story, the world she lives in,  a part of her mystique.

The red-headed hookers were almost separate and showed how pathetic the villain was,

Great stuff, this is what BW is all about.
