  1. is that six weeks since the last issue?

if that is true its suprisingly quick for a Kevin Simth book!

  2. It’s probably on a six-week release schedule.  Might not be a bad idea for more books to go to a six week schedule.

  3. I found the first issue very mixed

  4. Nice cover art.

  5. man thats an awesome use of black and white, hot damn

  6. Last issue read like fan-fic. I’m not sure if i want more of that.

  7. I actually liked the way Smith handled the Joker in the first issue.  It was weird, but it probably should be with that character.

  8. I liked the first issue a lot. Should be a good series overall.

  9. The first issue was good. A little wordy, but it’s Kevin Smith. Seriously though, there were a lot of words.

  10. I had no problem with how the Joker was written. Its how Batman was written, it felt a little too much like a bad Frank Miller impersonation. just seemed like Batman was written by a fanboy that treats DKR like a bible. witch is strange cuz when smith wrote Batman in Green Arrow, his Batman felt really different.

  11. Had the same feeling towards the writing of Batman like WinTheWonderboy (doesn’t the length of the name annoy when you log in?). But I thought this issue, because it had less text in it, felt more fluid than the first one. And we got the exposition behind us…I just hope it doesnt lose its pace in the next issues.

  12. @Spooky: We all have our crosses to bare. Mine just happens to be a long user name. 🙂

  13. Not sure what to make of this title. Issue 1 left me with mixed feelings. What excatly is the villians power?? Did like the writing of Deadshot, Kevin seems to understand this character almost as well as Gail Simone. Ill pick this issue up hoping it gets better.

  14. I decided against picking this up. The quality of the first ish didn’t outweigh the standard cons of Kevin Smith books. I think he’s better with peripheral B list characters like Green Arrow and Daredevil, and not big flagship characters like this. His Batman would probably seem more in character 10 or 15 years ago, but not in the current comic book climate.

  15. I am just hoping that Mr. Smith is able round this all off in the last issue of the 3 parter.  Have enjoyed for the most part and thanking God for an on time Smith book as well.

  16. So a new villian comes into Gotham. This new villian outshines the suddenly pathetic Joker, shanks Batman, and outdoes Deadshot. Hell, he even gets laid. He outdoes Maxie Zeus by default. Who doesn’t?

This character happens to be created by the writer. I’m cynical, but I find this funny.
