  1. I’ve always thought that

  2. Read the free preview comic of this, and the art was so dynamic it blew my mind!

  3. I first saw this artist on Ultimates 3 (less said the better) but I did like his version of Spider-man when he guest starred in the series. The preview looked good, and I’ve missed Spider-man since I dropped Amazing. Slotts style doesn’t work for me. I liked Wells previous Spider-man work so I’m in for an arc or two. Probably depending on the guest star.

  4. Its either this or the new Scarlet Spider for me so i’m probably going to have to take a pass on this. Looks decent but Scarlet will have way more to offer IMHO.

  5. The 10 page preview from Comixology looked GREAT! Pretty excited for this. I wrote it off initially, but glad I decided to check it out.

  6. Yep I’m excited for this. Super duper excited for this.

  7. I love that Madureira has the balls to still put Battle Chasers on his resume.

Fuck the Twelve. I’d be excited for THAT series to come out of nowhere and finish.

  8. havent really dug a peter parker on-going for a while now. im way past due. please be good

  9. This looks great! I read the short little preview in the “Daily Bugle” and I’m actually excited to read this. I’ve always liked Spidey best when he’s interacting with other characters.

  10. This’ll be the third new Marvel continuing I’ll be starting in as many weeks. Who says they need a reboot?

  11. Slott’s Amazing Spidey hasn’t really done it for me for a long while, so I hope this is good. I love Ultimate but I need Pete in my life.

  12. Wow – I loved this. How often do you read a book and just feel like it was actually A LOT OF FUN?!? Loved it!

  13. Very pleased with this, great art and it should be fun to see Spider-man teaming up with various super-heroes. Hopefully with this, they will keep Amazing more focused on Peter/Spider-man than has been the case lately.

  14. WOW this is the first time a 616 spider-man story has won me over! Doesn’t hurt that the art is jaw dropping either! 5/5 i’m on board!

  15. This is my most anticipated book of the month. Spider-Man is my favorite Marvel superhero and I will be damned if I don’t get this book by the end of the week. Joe Mad’s art is amazing.

  16. How many pages was this? It’s bagged so i couldn’t flip through it.

  17. So, this is essentially going to be a Marvel Team Up with Spider-Man and [insert other avenger here]? HELL YES.

    Loved this.

  18. All kinds of awesome. Great art, fun story…has a bit of a classic Ultimate Spiderman tone to it. This has so much potential to be a great series.

  19. Maaaaaaan I LOVED this.

  20. Loved it. LOVED. 5/5

  21. Had this book in my hand twice. But it just felt so THIN for $3.99. I just couldn’t do it.

  22. I hate to be the lone negative voice, but this was a waste of 3.99. I liked Mad’s art, but there was virtually no story. All action, no character development, not much of a smile anywhere (except for RH’s grabbing Pete’s arm). I’ll give #2 a try, but this can’t compare to other Spidey books right now. To say this “felt short” (see review) is the understatement of the century.

  23. Hmm. Am I the only one who was bummed that Spidey and the Red Hulk didn’t jump to New York Luke/Yoda style? A lot of fun to read.

  24. Really surprised by how good all the Spider-Man books have been lately. I’m so used to only Ultimate Spider-Man being any good. Weird.

This was a lot of fun, though. Zeb Wells writes a good smart ass Spidey.

  25. I’ve actually never seen this guys art before this. Wow.

  26. USM is complete win. This book is awesome fun. And amazing is solid.
Each is distinct in it’s own way.
Between the spidey, the x, and the Cap line of books, marvel is pumping out some quality lines (not to mention JIM and Daredevil)
The Avengers line is alright (with some stand out single issues) but needs some new writing perspective… Bring on Remender’s Sqecret Avengers!!

  27. This book read too fast. Too many splash pages. But the art was beautiful… This title looks like it will be an “action” book. I don’t know that I’ll buy this going forward.

  28. This was all splash pages. If you are a fan of 90s art, this is for you.

  29. Beautiful art. Light-hearted fun. Fast read. One dollar too much.

  30. Loved this! Made a full-on Joe Mad fanboy out of me. The writing was quick, light, and surprisingly hilarious. All my other favorite books are brooding and gloomy, and I wasn’t crazy about WatX-M. This will do just fine.

  31. Amazing start to a series. Great fast moving story and some of the coolest art I’ve seen in comics
