wow what a random place for Steve Dillon to pop up
I literally said his name out loud when I read the solicit. Very odd.
Still buying the shit out of it, though.
Just looking at the preview for this tells me Dillon is the wrong choice for this. I know he did Preacher but when I think of ‘heartwarming’ or ‘sweet’ I don’t think of Steve Dillon.
Of course this couple be a fake out and Aunt May dies a horrible death here. No one would see that one coming.
Welcome back Zeb Wells! Really excited for this, can’t wait for Wednesday now!:)
Yeahh. Don’t like the sunday funnies art. This title is on the chopping block for me.
Nice change of pace.
Possibly my last issue.
I think the one before this one was the last issue for me, actually.
Running Hot and Cold with the Zeb Wells issues.
The Greg Land issue still bugs me.
I think I’m out.
Why they would let Dillon butcher such a great, well written story is beyond my comprehension.
I was surprised at how much I didn’t like this. For whatever reasons, Dillon didn’t come through with the facial expressions he normally does really well, and Peter has never had hair that stands up. On the writing side, although I know JMS’ Aunt May did something similar, the idea of Aunt May talking about sex to make Peter uneasy seems out of character, and saying that Uncle Ben kept buying baseball gloves to “See if it would take” isn’t like Uncle Ben at all. The beginning sequence was really funny though.
