  1. Noto!

  2. Noto is neat-o!

  3. I haven’t decided if I want this yet. On the one hand: NOTO! On the other hand, besides the art what is going to make this any different than Casey’s already awesome EARTH’S MIGHTIEST HEROES I & II from only a few years back? Anyone care to weigh in?

  4. That’s great design on the typography

  5. It looks like the same typography as Avengers Forever

  6. Yup

  7. So the solicit confuses me. Is this just side stories or a retelling ?

  8. @Edward just picked up Avengers Forever in singles last week. Next on my unread issue pile

  9. @mikeandzod21: there is some fantastic art in those comics. Some really epic scenes and shots. so much in those issues.

  10. I’ll bet this is good, but I can’t keep doing the $3.99 minis. I just can’t.

    Waitin’ for the trade!

  11. @edward Carlos Pacheco from those days of Avengers Forever, Xmen and Fantastic Four was amazing. It makes me so sad to see his new art compared to then!

  12. @rift1128: yup. it makes me think of byran hitch

  13. Just say Yes to Noto

  14. I wish Wasp was still around.  Not the Henry Pym version.

I’m still on the fence on this one, I’ll check out the rating on Wednesday.

  15. Hmm. I was hoping that someone would have wanted to talk me into getting this. 🙁

Getting this just because of Noto. (Didn’t they already do something like this already a few years ago?)

  17. Avatar photo Arrrggghhh (@Arrrggghhh) says:

Whoa! Typin’ "already" twice in the same sentence.
Seem to be repeating myself – think I’m comin’ down with Bendismiosis — cause I’m repeating myself.

  18. This was pretty good. Looks like it’s gonna be a retelling of issue one of the Avengers (1963). It was nice seeing an update of Rick Jones’ Teen Brigade (they’re a bunch of hackers… with guns!). The art was great and story moved along nicely.

  19. Oh dear. This wasn’t bad – the art was fantastic! – but quite frankly, it’s unnecessary. I don’t feel it does anything sufficiently different or adds anything amazingly new to warrant it’s existence. Add to that it’s incredibly text heavy. (However, it wasn’t the most text heavy thing I read this week! Which was quite a feat in it itself.) While I’m sure some will like it, this just didn’t strike me as being anything worthwhile and I’d suggest anyone who wants to check this out, just go right for the trades of EARTH’S MIGHTIEST. 2.5/5

  20. @Howl4Me  I enjoyed this as well.  If I remember correctly, didn’t the old teen brigade just use radios to call for help?  I guess in the modern world, you can’t hack without also being heavily armed.

  21. I thought it was fun. Phil Noto is awesome.

  22. @Prax – I agree with your assessment.  The art was fantastic.  The story was not a hot mess but it was unnecessary.  I also looking for a somewhat different spin on the old tale.  Instead it just felt like a rehashing of the original.

  23. Was Rick Jones always a member of a revolutionary movement?
