  1. So glad i dropped this after last issue, this title for me will be more so an occasional pick up from now on depending on whats going on.

  2. Still into this corner of the 616-verse for a while.

  3. Nice cover. I’d be picking this up if it had Alan Davis art on the inside. Romita Jr. draws an ugly Spider-Woman.

    • I know lots of people dig JRJr, but I just don’t get it. It all looks like inked and colored breakdowns instead of finished art.

  4. Is it just me or does the Hawkeye/Spider-Woman relationship not really seem natural? I don’t mean I don’t think it couldn’t happen. I just think Bendis shoehorned it a little too quickly.

    • Yeah it’s like one minute they’re looking at each other across the room the next they’re making out and now they’re a couple. It’s like they’re in highschool or something.

    • i think it’s pretty natural considering they work together. Sometimes, not all the time, but sometimes these kind of relationships happen like that.

    • I don’t think it’s any less natural than the sudden Hawkeye and Wasp relationship that kind of started the whole Scarlet Witch going bonkers and reordering reality just before the House of M

    • I think what it really says is that Hawkeye is the male equivalent of the Black Widow – is there anyone that man-whore won’t sleep with?!? 😉

    • None of Bendis’s emotional beats feel natural to me. It’s all just “Okay, we’re doing THIS now.” Like you say, the relationship COULD happen, but Bendis doesn’t build up to it organically at all. Then he depends on a reader-response of “Yeah that’s kinda weird, right? Oh well.”

If readers demanded more substance than Real World-level character exploration, then there’d be room for genuine emotional change again.

  5. Well he slept with a robot version of Wanda, so I guess not.

  6. I am really getting bored by this book. Do you ever get the feeling your favorite book has that “not so fresh” feeling? If I see another multi-page spread of talking heads, I am going to jump out the window.

  7. Well the whole in the camera talking thing is just getting stupid and the cover I know does not need to have anything to do with the book however; It really had nothing to do with this book and well it was just boring and just bad. All around 1 for me and the fear itself shit needs to end now before it ruins anymore Marvel books that I am still hanging onto just barely.
SO THIS WAS A PIECE OF SHIT!! (Please excuse the harshness but it is true!)

    Just sayin’,
    K

  8. It’s about time for me to start taking a hard look at my Marvel titles. I have about 7 or 8 issues left to most of my subscriptions, and some titles are definitely gonna get cut. Was hoping to stay with a few Avengers titles until the movie comes out… We’ll see.
