  1. I have loved this entire run. Ok, maybe not the fill-in issue, but Johns has made Aquaman pretty awesome. Not that he hasn’t been awesome before.

  2. It’s amazing how much story Johns can pack into a single issue. Not all of them are compelling but it makes Aquaman a much more entertaining series.

  3. Has become one of DC’ s most solid books. Each issue adds to the lore and legend of Aquaman, drawing us into his world, resulting in a deeper investment on our part – and that right there is why I read comics.

    • Agreed, Johns put so much into each issue but it never feels like he gives one story line too much time. I can’t wait to see what happens by the end of this arc and how he deals with Orm. It would be super cool if Orm gets a small group of rebels to revolt against Arthur and Atlantis, maybe some kind of Atlantean Civil War.

    • @Ghostmann – Well said.

  4. Welp, some big revelations in this issue. That’s for sure.

  5. Fantastic issue!

Great mix of action and revelations in the story. Aquaman fighting the Dead King was fun to read, The Scavenger taking over Atlantis felt like out of a movie, and the Orm break out…..well okay they can’t all be winners. Still, Johns balancing all of these stories is impressive since he has so little time. But the real highlight was Pelletier and Parson’s art. Good lord there was some wonderful pages in this. The splash page of Aquaman throwing a ship at the Dead King was amazing to look at. Great stuff.

    4.5/5

  6. This was great. There’s so much going on here, and it’s such a fun read. As a lifelong DC fan, it’s taken this long for me to care about Aquaman, but Johns has finally made a believer out of me. This book has been rock solid since issue #1. Just the other day, I found myself defending Aquaman and actually meaning it. Looking forward to the next issue as always.

Also, Pelletier is one of the most underated artist out there right now. People should really be talking about this guy more.

  7. Avatar photo SteveAreUokay (@StevieAreUokay) says:

    another great issue of Aquaman!!

  8. I don’t care who all has fallen out of love with Johns. Aquaman and Shazam are rock-hard, solid proof that he is still on top of his game. Not to mention that JL(especially since Throne of Atlantis) is rolling on all cylinders.

Also, Pelletier is THE MOST UNDERATED artist in the Big 2.
