  1. Can’t wait for this issue.

That cover is sick as usual. Reis and Johns are absolutely killing it on this book, and I am looking forward to finding out more about Shin and Manta’s ties and plans.

  2. Is this the final part to this arc? I was a big fan of this series in the beginning but I could not be more ready to jump off this ship. Reis’s art is incredible but I don’t love the character enough to keep going with this book, despite Reis’s brilliance. Johns’s writing just isn’t doing it for anymore.

I’ll finish out the arc and if the ending is spectacular I may be persuaded to keep going but I doubt it. My $2.99 could be put to better use elsewhere.

    • After reading issue 11 I completely retract my previous comment. I went back and read everything from #7 (the beginning of this arc) and when I did that, it put everything in context.

I think the problem I’ve had with this book is that each issue is over far too quickly. So when I read it every month, I’m left with that “meh” feeling because it just finishes too quickly.

However after reading it all together, as its supposed to be read, the experience was so much better. Everything clicked for me and this was a great issue. Looking forward to how this is going to end now.

  3. awesome cover.
    story and art are wonderful.
love The Others. want more Vostok.
i’ve enjoyed Manta as the pursuing assassin and collector. interested to see the dynamic of Manta and Shin’s relationship. If Shin is in on it, then i was fooled.

  4. I really like how Johns is keeping Aquaman’s story true to what it was before, but adding new twists that keep it interesting.

  5. Ivan Reis delivers every week with superb art. Guy must work so hard because hes always on time and there are barely any artistic changes on the title. Wish there were more like him.

  6. This has quickly turned into one of my favorite books at DC. Thank god Johns rejuvenated the series with this story line.

  7. i’m ashamed that i used to make fun of aquaman. then i picked 1-10 up last month and just feel like an ass now 🙁 lovin’ it!

  8. Best book Johns in writing!

  9. Just read it. Awesome as usual!

  10. The others are the best new characters of the new 52.

  11. Can we all push for an Others series? Maybe a few minis? They (The Others) are a great team so far. An adult team about more than bad guys and fights. They are deep, emotional, and, smart…Johns best team by far!

    • i would love “the Others” to get a title.
i would buy the fuck outa that.
even if Aquaman only made guest appearances. of course, i’d prefer to have him in it, but that’s how strong i think these characters are or at least could be if given the proper attention. can you imagine if Aquaman was in 3 titles at once. that would be awesome. he’s come a long way in the last year.

  12. This was my pick of the week. Excellent issue this month.

  13. The first and last pages of Aquaman #11 were breathtaking, and everything in between was fantastic. I love The Others. Too bad that Mera vs. Manta was so short. It looks like we’ll get to see more of the creatures from The Trench!

  14. I’m glad I’m not the only one who is interested in seeing more of these ‘Others’.

At first I wasn’t too sure, but each of them has grown on me in some way. I get the feeling that they’ve just always been there, in the background, waiting for a chance to shine, which is awesome writing on Johns’ part.

Prisoner Of War is far and away my favorite, with decent promotion and a solid creative team, he could sell at least a mini, even his own book eventually. I’d definitely read it.

    • i can’t decide if i like Prisoner or Vostok the best. i’d like to see a mini on each character of the Others to get a good feel for their backgrounds, like the the BW mini’s.
but, if there were to be an ongoing, i’d want to see a team book. perhaps that takes place in the past when Arthur was a real prick. young, arrogant heads bumping wild. good storytelling that i’m now dreaming of.
Hell, maybe i’ll write it just for me. lol

    • Here’s hoping! 🙂

    • Hm that was a bit of a fail there. I thought you wrote “maybe he’ll write it just for me” and, when I checked back, you hadn’t written that at all. Still, for what its worth, I think you should write it just for you. Why not?

  15. I would pay 4.99 a month for geoff johns Other League book. These characters are amazing. I can’t believe he created this many interesting new heroes for one story.

  16. What are their powers does anybody know? I got the feeling ya’wara was like aquaman only jungle and the operative was like a superspy similar to black widow or something?

  17. This arc is getting better and better, possibly my favorite non-bat title out right now with JLDark a close second.
