Easily one of the top 3 Angel episodes in the series. Definitely gonna pick this up.
I think this will show up in my stack, since Angel is on my pull list. Not entirely sure I’m interested, though.
I recently saw this episode and forgot how insanely good it was.
That said, I have the DVD. I don’t need the comic.
So let me get this straight:
This idea of a main character turning into a puppet is not only considered the best in the series….but also won a ton of awards because of the idea?
*slowly walks backwards; then runs away, slams the door, and a car is heard screetching into the sunset* Must drive faster!
I may be just a bigger Angel fan than most, but I found this totally worthwhile and will continue to buy these issues. It was based on the script, which means it does differ slightly, in that it includes scenes that were not shot due to time constraints. Also, you can actually read the lyrics to the Smile Time songs, which is a huge bonus to those of us who couldn’t entirely make them out in the episode. The art’s pretty, and it’s just a great story, no matter how you experience it!
