  1. I haven’t been enjoying this arc as much as the past few, for some reason. I like Joe Kelly, the story is interesting enough, it just hasn’t really clicked with me. I’m hoping this issue will change things, though, and if not, well, it’s the last issue of the arc and a ton of people have been enjoying it, so I guess it was a success.

Excited to see how this ends, for sure.

  2. Loving this book lately

  3. i love joe kelly and this arc has been ‘meh’ for me. First ish of arc was amazing, then for me they seem to go down per issue after. Still a fine read, but not amping me up this week like…say…shadowy evening, or something….

  4. I think kelly has really brought this book around.

  5. This should be refreshing. . . I’ve been loving the Kelly arc, and the annual really broke the momentum for me.

  6. I’ve been enjoyed this book since the switch to three times a month. This is my favorite of the long arcs.

  7. Because my LCS didn’t get the Annual in last week. (Need to remember to ask again) I’ve been without my Spidey for two weeks. It’s been horrible. GIMME MY SPIDER-MAN!!!

  8. i can’t read a weekly spider-man book, i’m sorry…. too bad because it sounds interesting

  9. This has been a great arc, but after this… meh. The last thing I want is for Mary Jane to be back already (which will be celebrated by horrible J. Scott Cambell covers). I’d rather read the upcoming Clone Saga. No joke.

  10. I wish Phil Jemenz had been able to stay on for this arc. I’m not a fan of the art. Can’t wait for 600, but I guess I have to.

  11. @oldmanlogan88

Hopefully it sucks really bad or they cut back on putting out ASM.  I’m voting for the first one after seeing the price tag.

  12. It looks like that will just be replacing Spider-Man family. I might check out the first issue, who knows.

  13. Wow…i will drop books in order to pick up the issues written by Tom Defalco. Love his silver age stuff soooo much.

  14. Joe Kelly is my favorite of the Spider-Man writers, but this arc has lacked a little something for me too.  I can’t quite put my finger on it, maybe it’s the pacing or something.  Something seems off though… Either way, can’t wait for #600.

  15. Good issue, but did anyone else notice that in the last page we see Peter on, he looks exactly like Harry? Come on!

  16. I don’t know if it was that it’s been 3 weeks since the last issue (thus killing the momentum) but this felt like a really lackluster finale to a great arc.

  17. The last 2 issues just haven’t hit home with me.  I dunno if it is the whole "Norman got someone’s girlfriend pregant storyline AGAIN" or what, but they just haven’t clicked.

  18. i dug this issue alot. I thought the build-up to Harry walking away from Osborn was really intense. I loved the long shot Checchetto used when it looked like Harry was going to kill Normie. I thought it had the same effect as 28 days later with its lack of music to make it feel alone. I’m excited to go back and read the whole arc as a whole now.

  19. Great issue. The art was fantastic and Joe Kelly knows how to stir up emotions

  20. I haven’t been enjoying this arc, but this was great! 4/5.
