    @RoiVampire Me too, I didn’t imagine this arc going the way it has at all. It seemed so whimsical in first couple of pages in #590 then we get that ending.

    I didn’t understand why so many people said last issue was a ‘meh’…i loved it and an nothing but excited for this title.

    I hope I am way wrong, but I’d bet dollars to doughnuts that Peter’s face is somehow obscured from the Human Torch when this issue opens. Again, I hope I am wrong, as I think a few special friends knowing Spider-Man’s secret identity makes for a better dynamic and more interesting story possibilities.  Still, I bet Marvel figures the New Avengers meet, or even exceed, the quota.

    For the first time in a long time I’m not looking forward not an issue of ASM. The last issue was an adequite story with too much pandering. But hey, next week will bring a new issue anyway.

    I don’t see why Peter wouldn’t want to tell the F4 his secret identity, especially considering he already told the New Avengers. Plus, it doesn’t seem like Reed cares if he’s registered or not considering he’s going out on adventures with him.

    @kwisdumb: I think it was explained that this story happens before the issue of the New Avengers in continuity. Bendis was just at the point in New Avengers that he wanted to bring that plot point up, and they figured it was close enough. I read it in an interview, but I’d have to dig up the link.

    I just jumped on ASM recently, but as a big FF fan I thought the last issue was great. Definitely looking foward to this one. I want to know how the fantastic four lost their memories of spideys identity?

    @crazychris: Everyone in the universe lost their memories of Spider-Man’s identity. Mephisto mind-wiped the Marvel Universe. It was similar to how The Spectre wiped the mind of the DC Universe of the knowledge that Wally West was The Flash many, many years ago.

    Dr. Strange wiped the world’s mind of Iron Man’s identity once upon a time too, although poor Tony just can’t seem to keep that helmet on.

    I loved the Eaglesham art, but they used the time anomaly to fast forward through all the stories I actually would have cared about in favor of whatever the hell that macroverse hooey was.

    Also, when Peter talks to the FF about his identity trick, he might as well just turn to the camera, say, "Look, nerds," and have Dan Slott come out and do a Powerpoint presentation. The more they try to explain, the more I wince. Just move forward.

    I really dug the first half of this arc, but i just couldn’t wait for this issue to get over. Just seemed really campy and i now hate Slot writing FF. The cliffhanger seems interesting. I’m curious to see where it will head. Overall..total dissapointment for me with this ish.

    I have no problem with the whole "mindwipe" concept, because it serves the larger purpose of resetting character details. My only beef is why do we have to spend comic pages describing it?! It felt like the description of midichlorians…

    Absolutely loved this issue. Showing time passing by quickly in the real world was a nice way to get some great supporting character development.  Good stuff.

    yeah but i didn’t know the specifics of the whole "even if you have evidence your brain won’t let you connect the dots" that was nice to know instead of leaving it ambiguous
