Comments

  1. Hardman’s Parker is stunning.

  2. That JLA image uses contrast wonderfully.  There are some amazing images here.  Jim Lee is so skilled he scares me.

  3. That Captain America image should be the movie poster.

  4. I’m embarrassed how long it took me to notice the Flash in that JLA sketch.

  5. Is Samnee channeling Darwyn Cooke?

  6. i can’t choose a favorite. they are all great.

The Cap sketch almost looks like the poster for "Captain America: The musical"

  7. minimalism week on Twart has been a ton of fun.  those last two are probably the best of the bunch

  8. I also thoroughly enjoyed this one: http://www.francescofrancavilla.com/gallery/green.html

  9. That Hardman Parker is absolutely gorgeous.  Love those last two images as well.  Also, Jesse Hamm’s image is hilarious.

  10. Avatar photo Paul Montgomery (@fuzzytypewriter) says:

LOVE Mike and Maja’s save the date from Tom Fowler. That is so effing awesome. Congrats, guys!

  11. Ben Grimm by Doc Shaner is stunning.

  12. My two favorites are easily Captain America by Mitch Gerads and Trick or Treat by Jesse Hamm.

  13. That Batman Trick or Treat image is kind of… disturbing.

  14. The Batman Trick or Treat is definitely the most amusing. I laughed out loud.

It’s a tie between Samnee’s JLA and Lee’s GL for my favorite. It really is amazing what an artist can get outta the iPad. Almost frightening.

  15. God damn.  Double Hardman’s, a Samnee and McKelvie this week.  Sadly, they aint beating Thorcules!  Thats right Reilly Brown!

  16. lol. The Batman trick or treat is cute but awful at the same time.

  17. Abomination nipple!?!?!?!

Great stuff all around once again. Batman Trick or Treat is just plain hilarious – the look on Babs face is priceless.

And a Double Hardman (almost as unintentionally dirty sounding as Giant Size Man Thing) – WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!?!?!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the JLA. Shaner’s Ben Grimm has a Samnee-look to it, which is not at all a bad thing.

  18. @Paul: Thanks a lot! i CANNOT wait to send it out, we’re going to the printers today. August 27th: keep your calendar free 😉

  19. Jesse Hamms piece made me laugh out loud

  20. Reilly Brown just makes me smile every time!

  21. More Thorcules please!

Plus, can we PLEASE have Mitch Breitweiser on Captain America now?

  22. Alex Robinson’s Abomination made me want to see him draw an Etrigan humor mini-series.  Probably because I just woke up.  I don’t mean I want him to do it because I just woke up, I just mean the ear fins made me think of The Demon because I don’t have my glasses on yet.

Look, I don’t have to explain myself to you people.

  23. Oh god, somebody make a hi-res wallpaper out of that Breitweiser pic. PLEASE!

  24. I love McKelvies Pepper Potts.

  25. It is a crime that Breitweiser isn’t the artist on Captain America.

  26. Does Jim Lee draw with some sort of stylus for the iPad or is that a finger drawing?

  27. The Jim Lee pic is LITERALLY ‘drawn on an iPad’ – note the Appple logo! It was done at NYCC for a competition prize, I believe.

  28. that batman trick or treat one with oracle is AWESOME!!!

  29. I second the trick or treaters. So funny.

  30. Jim Lee’s iPad Green Lantern is one of the Best GL’s I have seen.  Wow.

  31. Samnee is the King of negative space.

  32. I love that Jim Lee managed to get the logo right where Hal’s Adam’s Apple should be.

  33. God damn Jim Lee and Gabriel Hardman are fantastic!
