I loved JL Elite. It was a great book. I have the 2nd printing of Action #775, it was tough to find.
Good idea for an animated movie. DC animation is killing it these days. And by “these days” I mean “ever since 1992”.
I’m looking forward to “Superman vs. The Elite”, but I’m looking forward to the next movie after this even more (DKR!).
It was indeed a great story and I certainly hope the video does it justice.
My only complaint (and I know it’s not particularly good form to complain before the video is out); I’m just not sure I dig the style, especially with respect to Superman. It sort of looks “Saturday morniNg cartoony” which doesn’t really match the tone of the story, IMO.
But I’ve been wrong before… And I’ll still pick it up.
Agreed. Compared to the other films, this seems like a step down. Some of the shots of Superman were pretty odd looking, in my opinion.
After a few movies in a row were i didn’t like the animation very much i think the art on this looks really good. We’ll have to wait and see if there is enough story for a 90min animated movie.

Un-related but thinking along the lines of a favorite issue. Does anyone remember a story with Batman and Superman in the everglades or somewhere like that. It is a story about a young female Vampire, Art Adams pencilled. What issue was this? or was it an Album and has it even been re-printed or is it in a collection or trade?

Are you watching Young Justice? Because Season One is playing out like one long Teen Titans movie, IMHO.
The end of that Superman story was what cemented my love for the character. I don’t want to spoil it, but let’s just say that the gloves come off.
I don’t like how Superman looks in this. He looks a bit fat for Superman standards at least.
So who else would like to see DC animation turn the Killing Joke into a movie?

I loved the Joe Kelly and Doug Mahnke era JLA. Superman 775 and Justice League Elite were fantastic.
Saw it tonight in Anaheim. It was really good, different from any of the previous films. One thing I noticed is that all of the films have awesome opening credits. Even the poopy ones.
Rumor has it that Joe Kelley introduced Atomic Skull into the animated movie.
This looks like its going to be a hit. I’m excited to see Superman set in this sorta Darker scenario and circumstances. This is a movie worth watching.
