THE NEW YORKER takes on SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK

In New York City culture, you're not officially on the society map until The New Yorker weighs in.

Congratulations, Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark! You made the cover! Now Spider-Man is going to be all over the subway on the cover of a magazine being read by thousands of people, a good portion of whom are less concerned with the articles than they are with being seen reading The New Yorker.

Comments

  1. Hey, I read the New Yorker on my Kindle.  I’m not trying to impress anybody.

Though I think I just undermined that when I shared.

  2. Is that Liefeld?

  3. At least this issue looks like it’ll be better than One Moment In Time

  4. @WheelHands  There are feet, so it’s definitely not Liefield. zing!

  5. Are we sure this isn’t just a bunch of cosplayers with Con-Plague? 😉

  6. The costume of the Spider-man on the left appears to have toes. That is seriously freaking me the fuck out.

  7. Loving Spider-Nightie

  8. I love that cover, I want it as a poster.

Also, CBR gave the show a really, really negative review.

  9. Heh.. Great Cover!

Love the Spider-Man on the ceiling with one foot in what looks like a cast.

Is there a Turn Off The Dark Special-Edition podcast?

  11. @PymSlap  We haven’t seen it yet.

  12. I read The New Yorker for the cartoons.
