Comments

  1. Sadly I have no comics, literally none coming out for my pullbin. I could take the advantage of maybe catching up with other things. But then I see Kirby Genesis #1 and Captain America Corps #1 and it makes me think of buying them. Especially the Corps book because the preview shows Roger Stern giving USAgent a big voice for the mini.

BQ: Spiders. Fucking hate them, gives me the creeps.

  2. A leen week for me.

BQ. Neither I nor Indiana Jones like snakes. ” I hate snakes Jacque!”

  3. I was caught by surprise that ‘Planet Red Hulk’ was only gonna be a two-parter, but hey less is more.

    Oh and this terrifies me:

  4. Project Superpowers was a mixed bag … and that was a project not unlike Genesis … resurrected characters, Alex Ross (as drawn by …) … the story in PS was really convoluted and didn’t make much sense when everything was said and done. In Genesis, I like the device of using ordinary people to tell the story … signed up for the first arc.

  5. BQ: My wife.

  6. Looking forward to all things Flashpoint.

    BQ: Rodents.  They’re pretty frightening.

  7. @JZga: That image is disgusting. Did those babies eat their mother? It looks all shriveled up and mishapen … <SHUDDERS>

  8. Lookin forward to Uncanny, FP Deadman, and FP Wonder Woman.

    Spiders. Definitely spiders.

  9. Avatar photo Jeff Reid (@JeffRReid) says:

Man, do I love Batgirl and Power Girl. I’m very sad that they’re both ending. I’ll just have to get maximum enjoyment out of them for the next two months.

BQ: Creatures of the night are really scary, especially if they’re black and terrible. As I am a member of a superstitious and cowardly lot, those types of things strike terror into my heart.

  10. I just don’t understand the appeal of the new Power Girl.

What – she suddenly owns and electrnoics company?

    Based on what?  How?

Trying to graft the old Clark Kent/Superman dual identity all of the sudden never seemed to work for me.

Some good art on the series- but over all I don’t think anything from these past two runs will stay with that character  reboot or not.

  11. Didn’t Josh have the pick last week?

  12. Josh again? Wow.

  13. Avengers, iron man, invincible and a metric ton of Flashpoint. Looks like a potentially fun week, could also be bad.

Bq: nothing? I can’t think of anything that creeps me out.. Of course having written that, I’ll go with horror movies. Had a bad experience with the Shining when I was eight. Creeped me out. I’ve avoided horror since.

  14. Zero books for me this week. 0!

    BQ: Dakota Fanning

  15. 2 books, my wallet is thankful.

BQ: @stulach, your wife scares me too! no seriously, its snakes, terrified.

  16. my only regular book is Superman/Batman (sad that it appears to be going away) so besides that it will be all audibles on the Flashpoint tie-ins.

  17. There are a few things I’m going to be picking up, but none of them strike me as something I’m particularly excited about.

  18. Wait Josh has the pick two weeks in a row?

  19. Light week for me: 5, maybe 6 books if I pick up the “Deadlands” one-shot.

BQ: Snakes. Indianna Jones was right!

  20. Hmm, only Avengers #14 for me.  I’m sure I’ll find something else though.

Bonus questions.  Not afraid of spiders, and I adore nearly all reptiles.  What I am afraid of is either being unemployed again, or getting old.  I told my future wife that if I ever get to the point I can’t wipe my own ass, she needs to pull the plug.  Essentially, not being able to take care of myself, and having to depend on others, is my biggest fear.

  21. 4 books for me. Since when do I have more books than anybody? i usually read less than everyone!

BQ: Eye injury *throws up in mouth*

  22. We had some good stories, some bad stories, and some fucking amazing stories.  I know they’ll be back, and hopefully it’ll rule, but right now lets take a moment and remember the JSA.

(unless you hate them or don’t care, then you’re exempt).

  23. I read too many comics….it seems like everyone else has little to no comics. I got a little bit of Fear Itself, a little Flashpoint, Snake eyes, and some other random ones

    BQ: Spiders

  24. This week is looking like I might grab a couple Flashpoint tie-ins to see if they matter, Batman cause I like it and Power Girl also cause i like it and love that her and Dick Grayson were/are investigating Ted Kords murder or suicide, plus she isn’t in DC’s reboot which leads me to the bonus question: What scares me is DC’s reboot, I don’t know if I’m gonna pick up ten different new books or drop my pull altogether cause of this debacle.

  25. Tiny & Teen Titans. Alpha Flight, Gladstones, Uncanny, Avengers
& Avengers Academy, Kirby Genesis, and because iFanboy suggested Graveyard of Empires. BQ : Death.

  26. Red Menace Ultimate Collection!

    BQ: She’s got a brand-new pair of roller skates….

  27. Wow, look at all that Fear Itself.

Wasn’t DC supposed to be the careless one by flooding the market with an excess of tie-ins?

  28. Just Invincible and Teen Titans for me.

I was iffy about Teen Titans, wondering if I even still care anymore with the impending reboot. But now that I know Nicola Scott is apparently not involved with any books in the relaunch (which is a damn shame), I’ve decided to see it through since who knows when will be the next time I get to gaze upon her lovely artwork again. Although at least two of the five issues solicited between now and then will apparently feature fill-in artists, so there’s also that.

BQ: Fuckin spiders. I hate them shits.

  29. New Comics Stay Golden-

  30. A light week for me this week, but that’s just fine because some of the upcoming weeks are monsters.  Picking up about 4 books, but I’ll probably pick up some trades and HCs on Instocktrades.com.

BQ:  I don’t mind spiders.  I just hate the big hairy, Aranaphobia sized ones.

  31. Why is CBR saying Rocketeer # 2 comes out wednesday?!
