Me? I’m looking forward to those deleted scenes. There are supposed to be a bunch focusing on Cap adjusting the life in the future.
I’ve got my disc set pre-ordered already!
Awesome! Then it’s settled, I’ll pre-order the two-disc set as I don’t care about 3D and the soundtrack!
Sweet! Sooner than I expected.
This a nitpick (I’ve got a serious case of the Mondays), but Jesus I hate that cover image. Why do we always have to wait for the second/third time they release a blu-ray these days to get a nice, simplistic, classy cover? What happened to good packaging?! 🙂 On a related note, I love how RDJ gets the binding photo. Shouldn’t we have made that the “A” and avoided some bias? Cuz really, if you’re gonna put one character on the binding, it should be Hulk.
Sounds loaded with goodies! Can’t wait to watch this over and over again.
its a strange self fulfilling prophecy that someone in advertising decided, that the masses don’t understand design or want sophistication and must have as much sugary frosting on their packaging as possible. Basically, they underestimate the public.
I’d just make your own cover and insert it in the BR case.
Haha. Seriously. I would take a black cover with a silver “A” on it over this photoshop nonsense. I have simple tastes. I’m not asking for a bean ballet.
There’s a UK release with a nice simple ‘A’ design: http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;0;-1;-1;-1&sku=785470
Hoping it’s pretty in my hands come September!
@Cooper: The brits outclass us again.
We’ll still have to live with it saying “Avengers Assemble” instead of “The Avengers” on the spine, sadly.
I don’t mind that title. We have to live with the title “Marvel’s The Avengers”, which is worse if you ask me.
hoping for more Hulk hijinks on those extras.
I hope 80% of the gag reel takes place in that room where banner and stark were tracking the cube
Already got my blu-ray steelbook pre-ordered! Hoping the UK set is as good as the US one. Sometimes we get shafted on extras (although not with the Marvel releases, so far.)
Been meaning to ask for a while…just what makes a “steelbook” bluray special? Is it content, bonus items or just a nice library type hard cover packaging?(is it also limited printing?)
Thanks
I don’t know what to do. Because I want this but I am willing to wait for the complete boxset.
I guess the over 3 hour directors cut, that movie sites were reporting was coming to theaters in August, isn’t coming true
Oh boy! I can’t wait to get….the 1 Disc….Standard DVD…Cause I can’t afford a blu-ray….*sigh*
In a related rant, ever notice how the pricing of that 1 disc DVD version is only about $4-$5 “cheaper” than that 2 disc Bluray(in this case $9). I thought we would see the day of $15-$20 new releases on DvD by now!
