I’m as surprised as you are. While I don’t doubt the skills of Azzarello and Risso, I’ve never fully committed to a title they were on. I didn’t stick with 100 Bullets for long, and everything else has been a quick taste. But after that first issue (Which was only $1.00), I’m totally on board for this out there sci-fi story.

Haunt #19

I don’t know if you’re aware of this, but Joe Casey has a habit of coming on to a title that you didn’t care about, changing it completely, for the better, and making it really good. And when he does that, he brings along amazing artists. Haunt #19 seems like a pretty great candidate for that kind of treatment doesn’t it? Try it. If nothing else, you’ll see some A-gamers doing their best to think with panache. At the very least. Don’t miss it.

FF #12

You know, it’s kind of hard to do this feature on a week like this. I recommend one book and that’s a ninth of my pull list! But luckily for me, there’s FF #12! If you enjoyed Fantastic Four #600 as much as I did (and that would be “a-fucking-lot”) then there’s no reason to not continue with FF. Sure, now there’s also Fantastic Four and that’s where Reed and co. are going to be, but the story that Hickman has been building so far is intricate and multifaceted and part of it is going to be unfolding in this title too.

Conor, would it be impolite to ask whether part of the deal with Graphicly is them (partially) funding your pull lists? Probably. I’m just curious … and won’t be starting to cry if you answer: None of your business.

Did I miss something? Where are all of the DC books this week?
It’s a fifth week and it looks like DC is using it to keep most of its books on or close to schedule.

This is the week of the trade books. The only book I have in trade is The Walking Dead vol. 1 & 2. Maybe I’ll get Invincible this week.
