Light Week? Try JUDGE DREDD #1, COMEBACK #1, or THE AVENGERS #34!

Final report of the commercial starship Nostromo, third officer reporting. The other members of the crew, Kane, Lambert, Parker, Brett, Ash and Captain Dallas, are dead. Comics and ship destroyed. I should reach the frontier in about six weeks. With a little luck, the network will pick me up. This is Ripley, last survivor of the Nostromo, signing off.

Judge Dredd #1

By Duane Swierczynski and Nelson Daniel & Paul Gulacy

Britain’s best export for the past 30 years has been 2000 A.D., and it’s best known for bringing readers years of Judge Dredd. While 2000 A.D. has been a bit daunting to get a hold of or get on board for some, thanks to their partnership with IDW, American readers now have a great place to enter Mega City One and be judged!

Comeback #1

By Ed Brisson and Michael Walsh

There are a couple of things to be excited about with Comeback #1. The first is that this is a familiar but new and exciting concept. People can hire this firm to go back in time, and save people who are brought back to the present. I do not need to spell out the drama available in a story like this. The second thing that’s exciting about this book is the art of Michael Walsh. Have you heard of Walsh? You will. Do you like Chris Samnee’s work? Watch this space.

Well now his run finally comes to an end and if you were along for the ride at any point, you might want to poke your head in and say goodbye. Plus, look at all those artists who are stopping by to contribute to the finale.

  9. Looking forward to Comeback. I grabbed it today. Turns out the writer happened to be hanging around in my LCS in Vancouver today and, remembering Josh’s recommendation, I was spurred to buy his book. I knew it had to be legit!
