EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW: Fear Itself: The Fearless #4

Fear Itself: The Fearless #4 CoverYou might not believe it, but here at iFanboy HQ we get a lot of e-mail. E-Mails from many of you in the iFanbase, from other iFanboy staffers, from creators, and from publishers.  So much e-mail that sometimes it takes something extra for an e-mail to grab your attention and take action.

The other day, I got an e-mail from one of our contacts inside Marvel Comics.  The e-mail contained several attachments, which you can see below, and only contained 2 words:

EXPLODING SHARKS.

And with those two words ladies and gentlemen, Marvel Comics had me.

Where can you see these exploding sharks? In the pages of Fear Itself: The Fearless #4.  The 4th installment of Cullen Bunn, Mark Bagley and several other creators picking up the tale of the hammers that began in Marvel Comics most recent event. Issue #4 boasts a cover by Art Adams, which you can see to the right. But inside the book, that’s where you’ll find the exploding sharks and Namor too.

Comments

  1. Poor shark 🙁

  2. Somebody better call PETA. This is obviously Marvel’s attempt to brainwash people into going out and blowing up sharks.

  3. Amazing how quickly we can call a comic a piece of garbage and then quickly go into loving it because of a ridiculous premise.

    You’re better then that Ron.

  4. I know Ron called this series fucking crap (or something like that) on the podcast, and I’ve said it before, but seriously, this series has been great so far. The story is fast paced and focused and the art rules. I’m bummed that everyone is writing this off solely because it deals with the fallout from Fear Itself. I know, I know: You’re all over hammer time. Too bad, because you’ll all just be missing out.

  5. Mavel needs to cut their writers loose from the cross-overs, and start having the individual series have it’s own voice. Look at the critical and commercial success X-Force is having. It has nothing to do with Fear Itself. And this is why DC is crushing now. Each series has it’s on theme and individual story. I’m sure the crossovers will start, but for now, yes.

  6. “Under the sea…”

  7. Exploding sharks? Oh, Marvel. You know exactly how to make me swoon.

  8. Even though this looks bad and the stuff before this was bad, I’m reapply pumped for this.

  9. They are just shamelessly copying the 1966 Batman movie. FOR SHAME.
