Ed McGuinness Returns for Hulk #30

You guys know we've been all about Hulk lately.  With Jeff Parker killing the scripts and Gabriel Hardman making so many great pages, it's been a lot of fun. But a lot of people were having fun with the book before too. Well, with Hulk #30, Ed McGuinness is back for one issue, written by Parker.

Of the Red Hulk run, I've said that never have an artist and writer (Jeph Loeb) been better paired with a property and story, and when they were hitting, it was a pretty good story. That being said, the Parker/Hardman collaboration is much more my style, which given the history of my tastes might not be the best thing for the future of the title. Still, I checked with Marvel, and they assured me that Hardman will be back for issue #30.1 and then onward. This is just a little something special for one issue, and I'm totally OK with that.

  1. Muskully Muskulness from Muskultown

  2. How long before NextChamp comes in and reminds everyone of how horrible he thinks Loeb/McGuinness’ Hulk was? I kid because I love.

Pretty excited to finally jump on hulk since you guys and the Awesomed By Comics people have been raving about it so hard.

  3. I’m grateful this is only for one issue.  Never been a fan of McGuinness

  4. whew, don’t scare me there…I thought we were losing Hardman from Hulk at first glance.  I’m hoping the Parker/Hardman team becomes as prolific as some of the best teams out there.

  5. I’m ok with this.  Interested to see McGuinness’s take on Parker’s writing.  But I hope Parker and Hardman stay on this book for a really long time.

  6. I’m on board with this so long as Hardman is back. I like Ed McGuiness Hulk, but I LOVE Hardman Hulk.

  7. No hate for Mcguiness at all… but there’s a reason I own Hardman pages.

  8. I am not a fan. I just can’t get on board with McGuinness’s style.

  9. Cool I dig McGuinness having him in to visit will give Hardman a little breather

  10. I’m more worried about the cover. All battle issue . . . Compound Hulk . . .

I like a little character with my fighting.

  11. @Anson17: Luckily you already brought it up so I have no reason to complain again. 🙂

Although I never said I didn’t like McGuinness’s art. He’s very talented and if anything he was the right choice for that idiotic run.

  12. i like mcguinness & hardman.
