C2E2 2011 in Photographs

Last year, one of my favourite conventions in my long line up of comic book conventions was C2E2 – the Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo. It was a brand spankin' new convention in 2010, and it still really impressed me with its great organization, fantastic guest list, and expansive artist's alley. So this year I was chomping at the bit to return, completely enthused in every possible way.

C2E2 2011 certainly did not dissapoint! I had an amazing time, full of great opportunities, new friends, lots of booze, incredible cosplay, and some great new additions to my sketchbook. iFanboy was busy the entire time interviewing lots of artists, and a ton of our staff members were there which was cause for celebration (yes, even Josh!).

I didn't actually make it to the convention on Sunday due to illness (I am just cursed with convention illness so far this year), but Friday and Saturday were way too good to me. Here is my photo documentation!

There was so much cosplay at C2E2 – well, allow me to correct myself – there was so much GREAT cosplay at C2E2. I saw some really obscure and elaborate get-ups, and I made it my personal goal to go on cosplay safaris at least every couple of hours. Despite the horrendously red carpet confusing the colours on my camera, I still captured quite a few cosplayers.

The night life at C2E2 is a great time. Most people congregated in the Hyatt bar, and although I ventured out to a party for a couple of minutes once I always found myself back there at the end of the night. Here's some of the less liberal photos of the antics of the creators I encountered
