Fan favorite indie darling comic creator Bryan Lee O’Malley, best known for his epic work Scott Pilgrim, lends a hand to Kieron Gillen, Jamie McKelvie and Marvel Comics with a variant cover for Young Avengers #1. Borrowing from the cover palette from McKelvie’s cover for Young Avengers #1, O’Malley injects a bit of fun as we see the Young Avengers tearing up the dance floor:
Now you know how Kid Loki Dances. Which, unsurprisingly is very similar to his creator:
I basically dance like Loki from that young avenger cover, btw.

Love. So much love. I’m tempted to actually buy this.
The variant cover, I mean. I’m already gonna buy Young Avengers sooooo hard, you guys.
So great. Holy crap, so very very great.
Hulkling getting a little hands-y?
…Looks like
I must have this.
This is FANTASTIC!
Wow. First variant cover in a while I’ve felt that I actually NEED to get. This is awesome.
I wish O’Malley drew the whole book – and wrote it!
I wonder if that’s Tommy/Speed or Noh-Var Kate’s getting down with on the dancefloor. Doesn’t Noh have a girlfriend? If that’s still the case, I’d lean towards Tommy.
That’s a great cover. I too must confess that I dance like Loki whenever I get the chance to do so.
I can’t understand why Young Avengers gets so much love, its the poor man’s Runaways.
It was a firmly plugged into the Marvel U Runaways.
