Name: Ryan Smith

Bio: Quite the opposite of most comic fans, I didn't explore comics until the ripe old age of 21. I started with Captain America and haven't looked back since. My favorites are Cap, Daredevil, Y: the Last Man, Batman, and Brubaker's crime books.

December 24, 2017 12:16 am My God, dude. Harry Potter most certainly can fill that void. I love it so much, and they only get better as the series goes. Please just read the books before you watch the movies. I almost envy you. Reading that series my first time through was one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life. I've spent many lazy Sundays just popping on the movies and sitting on the couch with my wife. I hope you do take the time to read the series, and enjoy them as much as I have.
December 20, 2017 11:16 am Welp, I didn't really need another podcast, but I think I'm becoming addicted to You Must Remember This. I've already listened to the episodes on the Manson family and Marilyn Monroe. Now on to more. Thanks, Conor.
December 19, 2016 12:52 pm I hope you guys check out Search Party. It is the best TV comedy I've seen in a while. Great show, guys!
May 4, 2015 11:42 am Oops. Fiona got mentioned a minute later.
May 4, 2015 11:40 am Surprised last week you guys didn't say Saga, and this week you guys didn't say Fiona Staples.
August 29, 2013 12:20 pm Too many people are missing out on Fatale. It's such a great book.
May 24, 2013 12:22 pm I speak with my wallet. I know the difference between a shop that's trying and one that's not. I love my shop and continue to drive an hour to go every month or so. It's nothing incredibly special, but all of the staff are incredibly polite and helpful. It took me a few less satisfying visits at other places to find this one. Shout out to Crescent City Comics over in New Orleans, LA.
May 20, 2013 3:43 pm The Sixth Gun is awesome.
May 20, 2013 8:39 am You guys should give Fatale another shot. The book really starts to shine with the second arc, and these one-shots have been great. This and Saga have been my only must buys for a while now.
February 11, 2013 10:35 am My hometown got mentioned! Awesome. Houma, LA: Home of Swamp Thing. We should put that on a sign.
