I had no idea any of this was going on, and totally missed out. I'm a frequent Amazon user, and I'm glad to hear the news about the coupon.

The Captain America News

On Jun 15, 2009 9:27 AM

Brubaker writes a good Captain America. I don't care if its Steve Rogers or Bucky. I'm sure it's not as obvious as it seems. I'll be reading this.

iFanboy - Episode #106 - DC and Marvel Crossovers!

On Jan 28, 2009 3:58 PM

I too have that horrible 90s crossover. The interesting thing about it was that fans voted on the main events, but there were certain battles that weren't voted on...Thor vs Captain Marvel, Flash vs Quicksilver...etc. In the end Marvel ended up winning strictly due to popularity. I'm curious to see if 10+ years later fans might vote differently on certain battles I think Storm may lose ou...

The Decline and Fall of the American Superhero?

On Jan 12, 2009 4:23 AM

Great article. I also disagreed with a lot of Willingham's comments, but I don't really understand the storm they caused. Most of us comic fans are liberals, but that doesn't mean we have to crucify everyone with a conservative view. Your article didn't crucify the man, but some fans have been. I don't really see the need for that.

iFanboy - Episode #95 - Image Comics

On Nov 5, 2008 3:02 PM

Great show. I thought you guys picked a pretty diverse group of books to represent Image. One book I want to mention is Jack Staff. Not unlike Kirkman or Faerber, Paul Grist has created his own little universe with the Jack Staff series. He's really a masterful cartoonist, and it's great to see his world full of all these vibrant characters.

Book of the Month - Captain America: Operation Rebirth

On Aug 4, 2008 4:30 AM

Sadly, I have the old printing of this trade, which just contains the first arc. Anyway, there are a lot of new Cap fans now, and rightly so because Brubaker's run has been fantastic. Despite this, sometimes I feel like people are missing out on the previous great runs. Waid and Garney did a fantastic job with the character. I was so bummed out when Heroes Reborn interrupted t...

07.20.2008 - 'The Dark Knight'

On Jul 18, 2008 3:00 AM

To be honest, we had Batman's two most interesting villains in the same film. Ledger's performance was absolutely astounding. I don't think a typical sequel can top this. The Riddler? Mr. Freeze? Catwoman? Talia?...sorry it just wont cut it. In Nolan I trust. I'm sure if he does decide to do a sequel, it'd be fantastic, but I just can't see another villain competeing with this. I think r...

iFanboy - Episode #79 - The Top 5 Batman Stories (That Aren't The Dark Knight Returns, Year One or Arkham Asylum)

On Jul 16, 2008 4:05 PM

Great mentions in this episode. Just a sidenote. Greg Rucka wrote the Batman No Man's Land novel. While we miss out on a lot of the great art, and some of the smaller storylines, overall it works as much stronger story. It's much more to the point. I never read prose novels based on comics, but this one really worked, Also to add some more books to the list, I'd suggest Batman Black and...
