I think that must succinct answer to the Strange Tales question is that #168 has a kick ass Kirby drawn floating head of Nick Fury. #169 doesn't have that, so it is worth about 45 less. Cool points, that is. Technically, it has Kirby art on the cover and Steranko art inside. Pretty darn cool.

I think the Mike Wieringo and John Byrne volumes are calling my name. I recently discovered TwoMorrows "Jack Kirby Collector" and have been buying up back issues like crazy. If you are at the site and have any interest in Jack Kirby, I whole heartedly endorse taking a look.

@stuclach  I am intrigued. How could we do away with time zones? Should it be the same time in New York as in Seattle? That just seems crazy. When were time zones invented?

TNC, I see your point, but it's like you have some vendetta against Scalped. Why is it your go to book when discussing numbers?

It seems all influential comic creators hail from Cleveland, so surely one of them made mention of the woeful Tribe in one of their creations. Although, it don't see Brian K. Vaughn or Bendis paying attention to baseball. Superman was created by Cleveland guys, so maybe when he isn't cheering for the Metropolis Whoevers, he pulls for the Indians.

Avengers Forever was one of my favorite books when it was coming out and I actually kept it in a special box I have designated as "Great Stories." I reread it recently and had similar thoughts, though without the eloquence above. It really felt like I was sloughing through words at some points. I still consider the art fantastic, maybe my favorite of all of Pacheco's work. Beautiful art.
