11.04.2009 - Lobo: Highway to Hell #1

On Nov 5, 2009 1:43 AM

I always enjoy when the Pick falls to Ron "Out of Left Field" Richards because I originally think "What in the world...?" but then I read the review and am excited by his enthusiasm. That said, wild horses couldn't drag me to involving Lobo and/or Anthrax.  Still, of my 9 books, I wasn't overly impressed by any of them and still can't decide which was the best (I am le...

I think the Mike Wieringo and John Byrne volumes are calling my name. I recently discovered TwoMorrows "Jack Kirby Collector" and have been buying up back issues like crazy. If you are at the site and have any interest in Jack Kirby, I whole heartedly endorse taking a look.

New Comics for 11/04/09 still don't know what time it is

On Nov 2, 2009 3:22 PM

@stuclach  I am intrigued. How could we do away with time zones? Should it be the same time in New York as in Seattle? That just seems crazy. When were time zones invented?

I was kind of hoping you would make this issue the pick and only talk about the story about Rene Montoya.

Just to show you how mad I am, I will go hook up with a d...

This Week in Baseball: Joe Quesada & Matt Fraction?

On Oct 15, 2009 12:03 PM

It seems all influential comic creators hail from Cleveland, so surely one of them made mention of the woeful Tribe in one of their creations. Although, it don't see Brian K. Something about Batman, the Avengers, and Rainbows

On Oct 13, 2009 1:00 PM

I reread it recently and had similar thoughts, though without the eloquence above. It really felt like I was sloughing through words at some points. I still consider the art fantastic, maybe my favorite of all of Pacheco's work. Beautiful art.
