Finally got my hands on it and I have to say: This is better then I thought it would be.

I know people have hyped this like crazy, but I wasn’t so sure this was going to be as good as advertised. Actually it is a very fun comic though. The team itself has the chance of being very fun to read and Parker has a good voice for all of them. Never been a huge fan of Jeff Parker really; but this is the strongest writing I’ve read of his. The art by Kev Walker is very unique and it can be quite beautiful at times. He reminds me a lot like Mike Mignola, but puts a bit more detail into each panel. That moment with Professor X totally screamed ‘Mignola-ess’

I’m not sure if I want to catch up and pick up in issues or not. This was good, but I don’t know if it’s the best team book Marvel has right now. (Although I can totally see why Ron loved this and made it his pick) Overall though it would be nice to see that a Thunderbolts comic is good again. Somehow Jeff Parker and Kev Walker are the men to do it though.
