I love this team!!! I mean, how can you not? Luke Cage as leader of this team is probably more interesting than Luke Cage as an Avenger. This issue, we see more of Cage developing a rapport with his team and are treated to some fun surprises. Some new concepts are introduced  such as a girl raised by trolls and out of control terrigen mutations. I’m exctied for these things to be explored in the coming issues. Jeff Parker also continues to do a wonderful job of developing the relationships between the characters, and has a great handle on the dynamics of a team made up of real heroes and totally evil SOB’s (Cross Bones?).

Kev Walker continues to draw stylized and frenetic versions of these characters. He doesn’t make anyone look beautiful, but he certainly gives each character personality. His version of Man-Thing is both frightening and yet, some how, simpathetic. The look in those giant red eyes one of confusion and pain has helped to make this silent character one of my favorites.
