Well Mark Waid was able to put in one final push for an award.

‘Most Fucked Up Image of 2012’ (I am going to have nightmares of The Spot for years to come…)

You pretty much have to copy and paste my previous reviews of this series and get the gist of my feelings for this issue. A lot of thrilling action, a dash of melodrama, and tons of intrigue fills these pages. I’m glad this story line with Foggy and Matt splitting up isn’t fully resolved. Clearly Foggy has some issues left with this whole ordeal and it makes sense they don’t make up in the end. Samnee’s art is just what you expect: It is uneven in some places but for the most part it looks great. Thank god we have Javier Rodriguez as colorist because otherwise the art wouldn’t be as special without his help.

This was a nice way to finish the year with Daredevil. Except for one thing. Not sure if I am thrilled we get to have the new ‘Superior’ Spider-Man crash in the next arc. Hopefully Mark Waid can make it interesting and I’m damn sure he will be able too.

Comments

  1. Even weak Samnee art is better than most things on the shelves.

  2. You don’t have to worry about Superior Spidey hanging around for very long. From what I’ve heard, Daredevil #22 will be mostly a stand-alone issue before Daredevil joins Marvel NOW! with February’s Daredevil #23. That, in turn, will mark the start of a new arc which is likely to be free of any and all arachnids.
