DON’T MISS: The Last of the Greats #1 with Joshua Hale Fialkov

Show Notes

Running Time: 00:21:41

Some might say that the world doesn’t need a new ongoing superhero series, but writer Joshua Fialkov thinks he can prove them wrong. After doing all sorts of dark, twisted things in other genres of comics, Fialkov is bringing his mind to the world of superpowers, and The Last of the Greats #1 is the result. When the world needs the help of the one superbeing who can save them, it’s going to take a lot of convincing, since humanity was responsibly for killing all the others like him. He’s holding a grudge. Fialkov tells us all about it, and then lets you know that you have no idea what to expect.

It also just so happens that you can read almost the entire first issue right here before you make it to the shop.

  1. I’m buying it purely on the strength of the cover. I’m a sucker for typography, and that is some classy shit.

    • yeah that’s a pretty nice cover. That’s a classic modern title treatment that elevates the cover into book design..not just comics. (i still hope they went back and did some much needed kerning on it thought..thats what separates “good” from “award winning”)

  2. Could swear that was Gary from the show Alphas.

Yeah, I’ll pick this up just cuz the guy’s enthusiasm.

Good questions Josh. You are the James Lipton of comics.

  3. This has been one of my most anticipated comics of the year, along with The Strange Talent of Luther Strode, also coming out this week! Fialkov is a really cool guy. Very genuine, I hope this succeeds.

  4. this book sound great, that guy josh seems to like/hate it. great job show guy 🙂 thanks
