Comic Books
In late 1991, bolstered by the popularity of UNCANNY X-MEN’s all-star creative team of Chris Claremont and Jim Lee, Marvel launched a second monthly mutant title: X-MEN!
Now, twenty years later, the double-sized inaugural issue of that run is remastered, reimagined and recolored in modern style — gatefold cover and all — by colorist Thomas Mason!
The X-Men’s all-new Blue and Gold teams have never looked more heroic, Magneto and his Acolytes have never seemed so dangerous, and Jim Lee’s kinetic action sequences practically leap off the page!
Revisit a seminal moment in mutant history — like you’ve never seen it before!

I’m giving this to my brother for Christmas as a stocking stuffer. Considering how he owned at least one copy of each cover of the original, I think he’ll appreciate this one.
This was the book that hooked me on comics when I was nine. I eventually collected all five covers of this. They’re long gone, unfortunately, so I think I’ll pick this up as a little collector’s item.
Are there gonna be 5 covers for this? 😀
I wonder if Jim Lee gets a back-end off the sales for this.
It has the full gatefold, which is all four original covers in one. (The fifth original cover was the full gatefold special edition.)
“Revisit a seminal moment in mutant history …” for $3.99?
umm, No thanks , but I’ll just go into my Long box and fish this one out(of the 3 copies I own) if ever I want to read it
No one, and I repeat NO ONE, Drew the X-men like Jim did. I miss his pencils on x-men.
🙁
This’ll be a game-time decision for me.
Not gonna get me for another copy of this Marvel. But I am interested in what the “reimagined” part is all about in the description. Will be interested in hearing what you guys have to say.
No one is remembering the real 20th anniversary to remember:
NFL Superpro #1
haha. I actually still have that book.
I’m way too new to comics to have read this, or even to get the significance of it honestly, but I’m excited to pick up a little piece of X-Men history!
20 years?!
this getting older thing is bullshit
